Whenever someone says they/someone they know is stunning, all i ever want to ask is what do they look like.

Not because i doubt them, not at all, i just really want to know what does a stunning woman look like TO THEM.

Aishwarya Rai. Grey-eyed, stunning, absolutely utterly stunningly beautiful lady

@TheVolturi

I think Vicky Mclure is just so pretty, she really does just seem naturally gorgeous.
She is gorgeous. She lives near me. I've seen her in Tesco a few times. Everyone on our local FB loves her.
RosesAndHellebores · 08/05/2021 05:38

I have never met, or seen Lady Helen Taylor in person, but I met The Duchess of Kent in about 1986 and she was stunning. Petite but with presence and charisma.

FixItUpChappie · 08/05/2021 05:45

Eva Green - Whenever I'm asked to comment on beautiful people she always immediately comes to mind. I love her bone structure, her dark features, her accent, that she's interesting, unique....she is stunning IMO.

HappyWipings · 08/05/2021 06:03

Skin from skunk anansie. She has a very beautiful , perfectly proportioned face and wonderful style and personality too.

Megan fox is also stunning , as is Zooey Deschanel.

Minesril · 08/05/2021 07:03

Kiera Knightly. But no one else seems to see it! DH calls her Kiera Pointly. HmmI think she's gorgeous.

DH would say Natalie Portman.

Ginuwine · 08/05/2021 07:19

There is one thing that is a correlation between almost every woman stated on here (with the honourable statistical exceptions of Christina Hendricks and Ashley Graham).

And it's not great eyes or personality.

Chickychickydodah · 08/05/2021 07:37

Catherine zeta jones in darling buds
Blake lively
Duchess Catherine
Helena bonham Carter

TruffleShuffles · 08/05/2021 07:49

I mentioned Eva Green earlier but the other woman who I’m always drawn to is Lupita Nyong’o. I can’t just scroll past a picture of her I always have to stop and stare at it, she has such beautiful skin and a perfect smile.

oceanswim · 08/05/2021 07:49

Audrey Tautou
Sofia Helin
Rachel McAdams
Rihanna

To me, yes the women mentioned on here are beautiful, but I think they lack something. All samey. Money, makeup and good photography. Maybe Hepburn had it. But stunning to me is something else.

@Honeybee2021

Iman, Logan Browning Eva Pigford Dukie Thot Jasmine Tookes

Bone structure and eyes

I agree that it's bone structure and eyes. I was horribly bullied throughout secondary school for looking weird/odd/etc but once I hit my 20s I was showered with compliments. I have very good bone structure, good cheekbones etc and huge dark eyes. I still think I look odd though, probably thanks to the years of bullying, so when someone tells me I'm beautiful/stunning etc I automatically think they're talking to someone else or joking!

Can you describe what that something else is?

MakeMYDay5279 · 08/05/2021 08:17

I went to visit someone in an office that I had never met before. She was pregnant & literally glowing !!!!
Never experienced similar since !

weekend2021 · 08/05/2021 08:20

Anybody watch First Dates Hotel this week? There was a lady in her 80’s - Hungarian (?) who used to be a singer. She still looked amazing and had the most beautiful eyes and bone structure. She must have been even more stunning as a young woman. I was mesmerised by her!

Ratonastick · 08/05/2021 08:24

I came on to say Eva Green too. I think it is something about looking different to the norm. If the beauty standard is tanned blondes (as it seems to be atthe moment), Eva Green stands out as a woman with the confidence to ignore convention.

I also think we’re drawn to charisma in real life (very different to our response to film and photo). I know a woman who is not beautiful by any objective measure, but oozes intelligence, wit, caring, interest in others, etc so people find her very attractive.

Arbadacarba · 08/05/2021 08:27

I like petite women with long dark hair and big eyes.

EShellstrop · 08/05/2021 08:30

It's more personality and how they carry themselves than anything superficial like clothes or makeup. It's something inside her, that you just sense.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 08/05/2021 08:32

Isabella Rossellini. Lovely eyes.

LadyEloise · 08/05/2021 08:42

@Minesril I agree re Kiera Knightly. Beautiful.
Also Halle Berre
Aishwarya Rai
Rosie Huntington Whiteley
Natasha Kinski
Alesha Dixon
Natalie Portman
Kim Basinger
Grace Jones

@stayathomer I met Samantha Mumba once and I get what you are saying - she oozed what must be star quality. I wasn't expecting it at all.
Someone mentioned upthread Emmy Lou Harris - her voice is certainly stunning.

cookiecreampie · 08/05/2021 08:45

Rachel McAdams and Penelope Cruz

SelkieFly · 08/05/2021 08:49

I had a friend who used to describe people as stunning all the time. It really annoyed me tbh! Was she won over by their ''stunningness'', was she under their spell? How did they feel about her? It made me want to ban her from saying the word.

Branleuse · 08/05/2021 09:00

I was watching a video yesterday of Willow Smith and thought she was absolutely stunning to look at.
I dont think theres any one thing you can pinpoint though as beauty is always in the eye of the beholder

Iceniii · 08/05/2021 09:01

Can you describe what that something else is?

Don't think I can. Someone different. Not groomed to perfection. Inner charisma. If I imagined someone, huge amount of untamed red hair, face full of freckles and bright eyes, or a small petite person with natural hair framing their face.

I love those photos of people, where the photographer photos people of different nationalities and ethnicities.

HannaHat · 08/05/2021 09:03

It’s hard to describe, for me at least. I’d say stunning is someone “unusual” looking but attractive.
