Am feeling really meh at the moment and would love to hear what’s made you chuckle.

OP posts:
Meowchickameowmeow · 05/05/2021 18:37

My Dad Wrote a Porno always makes me belly laugh, looking forward to the next book coming out.

ginghamstarfish · 05/05/2021 18:39

A daft joke on Twitter yesterday - something like this:
My friend who's a weighlifter said he'd started injecting steroids.
Anabolics? I asked him.
No, in my arm, he said.

UhtredRagnarson · 05/05/2021 18:40

I properly laugh numerous times a day so it’s hard to remember specifically. Our dog being a goofball. Our cat being a goofball. DCs telling me something funny. Something happening on TV. My friend telling me about her day. My sister sending me a funny video.

PuppyPupPups · 05/05/2021 18:42

The most I have ever laughed in my life.

Joe Wilkinson on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with his poem about naming other blokes penises.

I watch it on YouTube if I need cheering up.

MelissaVonStressel · 05/05/2021 18:42

Cctv_idiots on Twitter. My word there are some idiots in this world.

And Taskmaster - Alex sitting in Liza Tarbucks cake. Every time.

imaginethemdragons · 05/05/2021 18:43

Quacky chan...bloody brilliant!
I saw a road sweeper van thing the other morning...called Meryl Sweep, that made me chuckle.

Jellykat · 05/05/2021 18:45

My 90 year old friend and i discussing Crumpets yesterday at her house, while it was peeing it down outside.. I started loudly singing 'Crumpets in the rain' to the tune of 'Strangers in the night', and she immediately joined in .. we then fell about laughing, it was a lovely couple of minutes!

tillytoodles1 · 05/05/2021 18:50

@HenryHooverIII

When I found out someone has pet duck called Quacky Chan.
Do you live in CQ? a duck of that name has escaped from his house.
Bourbonic · 05/05/2021 18:50

Frank of Ireland nearly ended me last night

BippityBobbityBoo · 05/05/2021 18:54

My husband said the prawns I was making for tea were octopus cocks

Bearnecessity · 05/05/2021 18:56

Mumsnetters have me in stitches regularly....much to the bemusement of the household.

Liverbird77 · 05/05/2021 18:57

The Isolation Creations. They are on Facebook. Absolutely hilarious. I really recommend them to everyone. So, so talented!

JustFedUpOfThis · 05/05/2021 18:57

You have 3 questions- guess what’s in the box?

Holothane · 05/05/2021 18:58

A video of mama bear with her Cubs one escaped to climb a tree, a voice in Glasgow accent telling the bears to behave and come down from the tree. Now I am someone who never laughs at so called comedy this had me crying with laughter.

NeedCoffeeToSurvive · 05/05/2021 18:59

The scene from Bear Grylls with Warwick Davies crossing a river on a rope, cracks me up every time.

LadyLolaRuben · 05/05/2021 19:00

An Idiot Abroad on Sky, always has me laughing. Im feeling pretty rubbish too so this is a welcome thread. Hope you feel brighter soon OP x

Iliketeaagain · 05/05/2021 19:01

Janet Godley's voiceovers on Twitter - the Nicola sturgeon ones made lockdown a little bit brighter and the animal ones make me laugh and laugh.

She's probably a refined taste, and absolutely not for anyone offended by swearing. Plus, as a ex-pat Glaswegian, they are hilariously accurate..

QueenPaw · 05/05/2021 19:03

The Welsh twins on YouTube. Separately they are poised experts on skincare and makeup. Together.... they basically cackle continuously

HeyDemonsItsYaGirl · 05/05/2021 19:04

I don't know what came over me but I laughed until it hurt at Alan Partridge's programme last week (This Time?) I don't normally find it that funny but when he did his confident walk I lost it.

It felt really good to laugh like that. I remember thinking at the time that I couldn't remember doing it in so long.

speedtalker · 05/05/2021 19:04

This is the last thing that made me guffaw

QueenPaw · 05/05/2021 19:04

Also their brother edits it so the subtitles say stuff like
"Twin language"
"Actually no idea what they're saying here"

MaryBoBary · 05/05/2021 19:05

Talking about baby names with my OH. Said I like the name Lucy. He told me (and his mum has confirmed as I didn't believe him) that he went to school with a girl called Lucy Tooth.

I was crying with laughter. That poor girl.

MaryBoBary · 05/05/2021 19:07

@ComtesseDeSpair

We went for a walk today. DP slipped on some wet grass and when he hit the floor, a little fart escaped.
@ComtesseDeSpair from him falling or from you laughing? Smile
DowntonCrabby · 05/05/2021 19:08

I had sunglasses on yesterday, they’re not prescription so couldn’t see as well as I should. We were all in the car and drove past a lady with a huge red bobble hat, cue me saying “goodness that’s quite a hat!”

As we passed her I could see from the front that it wasn’t a hat at all but a tiny toddler on her shoulders, in a red coat with its hood up.

I laughed as much as my family all laughing at me! Grin

Feefsie · 05/05/2021 19:09

I watched Gordon, Gino and Fred on tour. It’s absolutely hilarious especially Gino.
