Just that really. Are quooker ones worth the extra? Anyone regret having it installed?

We had a quettle one installed a few months ago and I would definitely recommend, we love it. It was £550 I think.

Hadalifeonce · 28/04/2021 07:40

I have a Franke omnitap..... Love it.

maddening · 28/04/2021 07:41

Watching as this is one thing I would love in my kitchen

Whatnow321 · 28/04/2021 07:44

We have a Franke Omni and love it. I’m not a tea/coffee drinker myself but so useful and love ours gives filtered water too. Would do it again

Iwishiwereamillionaire · 28/04/2021 07:47

I have a groehe and it’s brilliant, will never again have a kitchen without a hot tap! It’s tedious waiting for it to boil at other people’s houses 😆

RaspberryCoulis · 28/04/2021 07:51

We have an Insinkerator one and yes would recommend, it's really useful.

dotdashdashdash · 28/04/2021 08:00

This is all really positive, thanks

We have a caple 3 in 1. It's certainly handy but it's not been as life changing as I was led to believe Grin

Kottbullar · 28/04/2021 08:05

We were lucky enough to be given a Franke 4in1 from a supplier. I love it!

ViewFromHalfway · 28/04/2021 08:06

My parents have one and I LOVED it when I stayed with them. It's something I'd definitely consider for the future (but we are currently fixing up a house we just bought and that sort of thing is waaay down the list right now). If you can comfortably afford it, I'd say definitely go for it!

IheartJKR · 28/04/2021 08:12

We have a quooker, we’ve had one ever since we stumbled across one in a house we bought in Holland 10 years ago. Never had a problem with them , love them and wouldn’t be without it!!

DungeonKeeper · 28/04/2021 08:14

My in laws have got one. Can’t say I feel like it would change my life. It’s quite noisy.

AuntyFungal · 28/04/2021 08:28

Quooker. 13 yrs (I think) and still going strong.

LongDuckDong · 28/04/2021 08:31

We had a Grohe and initially loved it but got fed up of the button not working all the time because we didn’t touch it in the right place. We swapped it for a Quooker and it is even better.

Cookerhood · 28/04/2021 08:34

Yes, yes, yes! Quooker here, although we have to change the filter much more often than we expected as we are in a very hard water area (about every 10 months) so it's quite expensive. I'm guessing we use a lot more than the 3 litres a day that they work it out on. I'm worried about ours becoming obsolete & not being about to get the filter.

CJBear · 28/04/2021 08:42

Best thing in my new kitchen. Was between this and a “hide and slide” oven. Every time I use it I congratulate myself on my choice 😊

Roselilly36 · 28/04/2021 08:46

We live in a very hard water area, I discussed buying one with my plumber, he said it won’t last long, cheaper to replace your kettle than the tap, he also didn’t think them being particularly safe, plus the space taken up in the cupboard.

NotwatchingSpooks · 28/04/2021 08:49

We have a quooker and love it. I use it for drinks but also boiling water into saucepans and filling baked on pans when washing up.

I particularly like that it is the same temp as a kettle and that you don’t need to hold it in position when filling a saucepan, ie you can turn it on and leave it to fill rather than having to continually hold it down.

We also have the descale unit as we live in a hard water area.

Ariela · 28/04/2021 08:51

Can I ask the boiling water tap lovers: is it actually boiling? Only I like my tea to actually be poured boiling. Not almost-hot-but-not-boiling , or nearly-hot like you get from a thermos jug on a table at a reception.

CeliaCanth · 28/04/2021 08:57

We had an Insinkerator and had to replace it after a couple of years. We live in a very hard water area and despite having a water softener it didn’t last. The same thing happened to the replacement so we gave up and went back to a kettle.

Purplewithred · 28/04/2021 09:00

Love our Quooker and will immediately install one in every future home.

Also, our house is a townhouse with the hot water tank on the top floor. Drawing hot water down to the kitchen tap was slow and very wasteful. So we have the quooker with the bigger tank that supplies hot water to the hot tap as well as the boiling tap. Saves a lot of wasted water and time.

Highly recommended.

Greenbriar · 28/04/2021 09:10

Another vote for Quooker, it's brilliant! Great for filling up pans with already hot water for cooking pasta, takes much less time to get to a rolling boil

Purplewithred · 28/04/2021 09:12

@Ariela it comes out of the tap spitting and frothing like boiling water. I just tried to measure the temperature as it comes out with my meat probe and it got to 98 before I got my hand splashed and dropped it. So yes, I think so. We drink gallons of tea and are delighted with it.

Qooker taps are actually boiling. Don’t know about the others
Iwantacookie · 28/04/2021 09:21

Oh I want one of these. Do you need extra space under the sink for it?
