Can be lighthearted or heavy.

Mine is doing the packed lunches. Fucking hate it, especially those stupid Sistema lunchboxes with the compartments that nothing fits in Grin not my best ever purchase

You?

Laundry. The very bane of my existence.

NatashaAlianovaRomanova · 25/04/2021 20:54

@Pandoraslastchance

It pisses me off that I can't fit 5 plates along my worktop when dishing up meals. Council House (for which I'm eternally grateful) and I cannot afford a a new kitchen.

This is also the current bane of my life but I can't even get 3 plates on my worktop... sent an email to HA last week to advise about a few repairs needing done & had a rant about kitchen but being fit for purpose considering the property is supposed to be for a family of 4 (not enough cupboards, lack of work space, configuration being shit so certain cupboards are awkward to access) so a manager is coming out tomorrow to discuss the issues.

Also washing floors - hate it

BumCat · 25/04/2021 20:54

Cleaning the bathroom. Especially the shower and the floor that’s fucking smeary within 10 minutes of cleaning it.

As soon as I read your title I thought packed lunches....I hate them Sad

Howtomakeevery1 · 25/04/2021 20:56

The chicken (greasy shit) shop at the end of the drive, their customers block us and neighbours in constantly and swear if asked to move from double yellows

chiefbrain · 25/04/2021 20:59

Others have already said mine but...
Putting washing away.
Having to think of something for dinner every single day, so boring.
Everyone else in the house that expects me to do everything and know everything and find everything. I don't have a list of every food item and toiletry that we own in me head. Go and look if we have it.

Maddox33 · 25/04/2021 21:01

Putting out the recycling bins the night before. The bin lorry comes round about 5am and I've missed it so many times. Now I have an alarm on my phone to remind me. I still bloody hate it. And I'm pretty sure my neighbours judge me on the amount of bottles are in there Gin

kathmacc · 25/04/2021 21:03

Agree -packed lunches -but why I don’t know as took all of 11minutes to do -just have to throw into bags in morning !

chiefbrain · 25/04/2021 21:04

@petalblossom

Misophonia
Oh yes! And this.
Piglet89 · 25/04/2021 21:05

@thecatneuterer OMG yes. And the downy type that is IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of easily.

I’m forever hoovering our duvet covers on the beds and going over stuff with the lint roller for the finer downy hairs. DOES. MY. HEAD. IN.

marthastew · 25/04/2021 21:05

@starsparkle08

The challenges my disabled son faces , I would wave a wand if I had one
Me too. Every single day.
chiefbrain · 25/04/2021 21:06

@Confusedandshaken

2 years ago I developed a nail fungus on both hands. It meant I had to stop having manicures or painting my nails and it took a year for it to clear up completely but it has been gone for over 9 months so I thought it was a thing of the past. I bought a home gel nails system and after just 2 weeks of beautiful gel manicures the fungus is as bad as it ever was. It's so unsightly and I hate the thought that I might never be able to have pretty manicured hands again.
@Confusedandshaken I read on the household tips thread that vicks vaporub is supposed to be good for this. Worth a try?
LinenBundle · 25/04/2021 21:06

Noise cancelling headphones

BellaVida · 25/04/2021 21:08

That I feel pulled in so many different directions- housework, kids, work- I never feel like I’m doing anything well.
That I carry the mental load of the entirely family and have a constant check list running in my head that I never reach the end of.
....and breathe!

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/04/2021 21:09

Putting on the bottom sheet on our wooden framed bed. The mattress has to be lifted up to get the sheet on. I’ve done my back more than once.
Teenage boys from the school I work at who think it’s acceptable to low level verbally harass me when out. Just been taking the dog for a walk and had it all the way home. Including them calling out “big batty”. I can’t recognise them as it was dusk and I didn’t have my glasses on.

MondeoFan · 25/04/2021 21:11

Putting the food shop away. The don't mind doing the food shop, hate putting it away.
Like cooking though

Blindgossipfan · 25/04/2021 21:12

Washing my hair. Annoying and time consuming task that I hate doing myself.

Sobloodyexhausted · 25/04/2021 21:14

The annoying baby hairs that grow around my hairline and most specifically around my ears. They are wispy bits of frizz that never get long enough to tie back, push behind my ears or pin. On humid days they just stick out everywhere and look so unkempt, like a mad professor. I hate em!

TeeBee · 25/04/2021 21:15

Trying to get the teenagers to put their fucking clothes away. Every fucking day! Why do they enjoy living like vagrants? Whyyyyyyyy?

willowmelangell · 25/04/2021 21:16

Bins.
Kitchen bins.
Bathroom bins.
Bedroom bins.
Recycling bins.
Two weekly council pick up black bin bags.
Cats getting under my feet as I struggle to get to the door with black bags.

Mayhemmumma · 25/04/2021 21:21

Opened thread thinking fucking packed lunches - only do them once a week too.

Meal times with my children - watching the picky, fussy, slow, messy event that is feeding my family, pleading with them to try their food - they are 7 and 9 not babies!

Clearly I have food issues

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 25/04/2021 21:22

The utterly fucking printer...

breadwidow · 25/04/2021 21:27

Yep to putting away the laundry (I actually quite like hanging it out), emptying the dishwasher and dealing with duvet covers. I'd also add putting sheet on bunk bed mattresses (the top one is harder but bottom bunk comes with hazard off poss banging your head)

Agree on captcha thing too - for some reason google chrome on my work laptop stated asking me to do it every bloody day last week

Also for me getting my bed time hating 6.5 year olds to sleep - still requires me to sit by her bed for AGES

And, increasingly now recently, some aspects of my job. In particular dealing with the ever changing demands of making a document accessible for publication on gov.Uk.

LincolnshireLassInLondon · 25/04/2021 21:29

Constant, constant, constant washing up

eatsleepread · 25/04/2021 21:31

Does anyone else have evil thoughts about recycling? I do do it - quite religiously in fact - but sometimes wish I could think 'fuck it' and just shove everything in the black bag.
