Can be lighthearted or heavy.

Mine is doing the packed lunches. Fucking hate it, especially those stupid Sistema lunchboxes with the compartments that nothing fits in Grin not my best ever purchase

You?

PlayStations/ Xboxes. My DSs (14 & 15)who used to love reading and Lego now spend any free time with massive headphones clamped round their heads playing on the wretched things as if their lives depend on it. DH isn’t much better.

Cooking meals. Used to love it. Now I just can’t be arsed. Once the kids have left home I’m going to have jacket potatoes and salads most nights. Easy.

Ordering new prescriptions and then finding time to go the chemist to collect them.

Not any more, but when DC were younger- play parks. The most boring places on earth. And children’s birthday parties where you had to stay and make small talk to the other mums. Hellish.

Hate ironing, I can't seem to do it very well.

Lampan · 26/04/2021 06:14

Cats shitting in my garden. Utterly disgusting.

YehVaadaRaha · 26/04/2021 06:17

Doing the dishes! I've always hated it

EastWestWhosBest · 26/04/2021 07:04

Putting away my exercise clothes. I just hate sorting and folding them.
Other clothes are fine. It’s just them.

SkiingIsHeaven · 26/04/2021 07:25

House names not numbers. Spend ages driving really slowly down the road looking for the house.

9 times out of 10 the sign with the house name is barely legible and other road users are inconvenienced as I slowly crawl down the road .

I go to lots of houses for work so it is a regular occurrence.

Hand eczema. Just cannot get rid of it and it hurts like hell.
Octenicare schulke repair creme changed my life Smile
IntermittentParps · 26/04/2021 08:57

AdaFuckingShelby, yes, I thought that myself as I was writing my post Grin
Surprisingly often, I guess. Shopping lists (desiccated coconut, coconut milk etc). And I work with books, so encounter a lot of words on a daily basis, which I guess ups my probability of coming across all words, including that one.

PivotPivotPivottt · 26/04/2021 09:02

Putting my daughter in her car seat. Every single time we get in the car the straps are too tight even if I've just adjusted them the day before. Then they are always twisted. It always ends up with her screaming and me stressing as I mess about loosening and tightening the straps. I absolutely hate putting her in her seat and always wonder if anyone else has such a hassle or if its just me because it seems so minor I can't imagine anyone else would have this problem.

Also washing dishes.

5 yr old ds not telling me he has been to the toilet. But I can still tell if he has been, if you get my drift.

Crab0nnT0ast · 26/04/2021 12:29

Lazy people

zafferana · 26/04/2021 12:35

Household drudgery which, however busy I am, always falls to me.

And DS2's bedwetting (he's 10). I fucking despair, I really do Sad

stackemhigh · 26/04/2021 13:53

Procrastination. It's preventing me from just getting things done..

I can sympathize as my youngest was about nine before he cracked that one and numerous visits to health professionals to obtain mattress protector alarms and advice on what to do as most things just didn't seem to work :( It is hard but we got there in the end. It's a hidden problem for so many children. I also hate changing the beds and the pillow slips and given up on ironing. Most chores are drudge though and I agree about dishwashers. Filling them up with rinse aid and salt is also annoying too!
HarebrightCedarmoon · 26/04/2021 14:20

People crunching crisps/snacks near me or otherwise chewing noisily/wetly when I'm not eating myself. Thank goodness for headphones.

IntermittentParps · 26/04/2021 14:21

the80sweregreat, I've just taken delivery of some dishwasher tablets with rinse aid and salt included. Don't know yet if they're any good, but they might solve your problem if they are?

the80sweregreat · 26/04/2021 14:21

Mopping floors.
Cleaning loos
Bloody washing when you can't get it outside to dry.
Taking the hair out of the bath hair catcher thing.
Clearing up after dinner. Most of the other members of the family tend to drift off once it's all eaten.. funny that.

They might do! I don't have to put salt in it that often , the light comes on every few months. The repair guy said it has to be done. It's just a faff plus I've lost the funnel thing for it too! :)
peachescariad · 26/04/2021 14:32

The amount of glasses used by 3 (grown up ) kids everyday....there were 17 the other day...17!!! unless there are other people in the house that I haven't noticed...

Rubyupbeat · 26/04/2021 14:39
  1. doing the dishwasher (I know lazy)
  2. people that litter, can't understand why it's so difficult to take it home with you?
Weeedonkey · 26/04/2021 14:41

*Wasps.

It isn't even the fact that they sting: been stung by a bee which was far more intense, but I still don't mind bees who mind their own business and leave people alone. Wasps, though, are hassly little suckers that just won't stop flying at me.

Even their buzzing noise makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.

Do. Not. Like.*

Yes @MarieIVanArkleStinks I’m with you!! I walked out yesterday with a nice drink and a book, imagining a nice peaceful read in the sun. Five minutes! Five bloody minutes and there was a wasp buzzing around me - just feck off you stripy assholes!
