It's not because I think £350 is too much for a bag, but that one looks more like a £40 bag.

It's alright. Expensive for what it is. Can kind of see an elderly lady carrying it around. Not my grandma though, she's really cool.

I agree. I’m not unduly shocked at a bag costing £350 but that bag costing that amount.

Quite an ugly beach bag .. that's what I would think to be honest . If you told me the price I wouldn't whether to laughbir cry ..I'm pretty shocked. Bags aren't my thing though so ...

I like handbags and probably have around 75 of them, I'd never pay £350 for one though, and as others said it doesn't scream designer to be worth the price tag.

I’d wonder if you had a picnic later or were using a beach/child stuff bag. Looks like it will be waterproof inside for some reason. I’d think it was rather ugly. This is if I was questioned at the time and looked.
Realistically I wouldn’t notice it.

So are you looking for a bag you like that fits everything in, or are you looking for a bag that your colleagues will gush over?

If the first, why would you be bothered what others think, you should buy what you like.

I wouldn't even think that. So many sample sales, second hand opportunities, bag rental company even.. You can never guess how much anyone spent on anything these days.

I also carry a laptop, 10 or so folders, notebook, diary etc. The two bags you provide links for don't look big enough to carry what you listed.

Wouldn't you be better with a laptop bag (loads nice ones now days) with a regular handbag?

Okay for everybody who is commenting on ‘why I’m bothered about what others think’ I’m not- at all. If I like something I go for it.

This one is something I was on the fence- I’m looking for a work bag- which carry’s all my IT plus personal stuff in. Since I was on the fence thought I’ll post here to see what others see when you look at the bag.

It’s not an absolute favourite of mine else I would have bought it by now

The price tag doesn’t bother me as I always buy bags to last long and look good- timeless pieces as I see these as investments.

@HalzTangz I don’t want to carry too many bags around- hence looking for all in one option. I’m 5’2 and petite so don’t want a HUGE bag to swamp me too.

Backpacks are a complete no - I never carry those properly and always end up with some sort of an ache

£350 for a bag is stupid

I'd think you'd lose things out if it's open top.
It's expensive

I tend not to notice people's bags unless they're unusually nice or unusually not nice/odd for the workplace.
That bag would stand out for all the wrong reasons to me.

Not "Is this bag nice?" Subtle, but huge difference.

I really like it. I wouldn't ever spend £300 on a bag, ever, though.

My honest first thought was that it reminded me a bit of the £15 cool bag I bought in Sainsbury's earlier today... but I liked that bag too....

I do order it in the other colour available though, the pink one.
