Just had mine dropped . Not much change from £1k but we were throughly sick of not being able to park anywhere near our house (especially with heavy food shopping bags)
Neighbour opposite recently got a big fine for parking his van on the front of his house without a dropped kerb.

Ours is dropped as is the case with some of our neighbours... but other neighbours haven't and occasionally start asking about who the red car with reg plate x,y, and z belongs to (as was the case in our whatsapp street chat the other day) when someone parks across. One other neighbour ensures nobody parks outside by putting their wheelie bin on the street.
