To not want to take dd1 to dance when I'm ill?

Following on from my opening post on this thread, I've woken up this morning feel shite

Sweat is pouring out of me though I don't have a temperature/fever, I have a banging headache (no alcohol consumed last night) and my chest and throat feel as though someone is constantly stood on them, if I exert myself too much I have a coughing fit and when I cough it feels like something is stuck in my chest.

Anyway, my dilemma is, that DD1 is due to be at dance class at 11.30 till 1. This usually involves me wandering round aimlessly with DD2 until it is time to pick her up (1 1/2 hours), I hate shopping always have and hate this (DH usually takes her but he is working, he spends the hour an half in the pub).

I really don't feel well enough to be walking round in the cold and rain for ages when we don't need any shopping etc. Thing is dh and I are not talking and I know that he will tut and shake his head when I dont take her.

Apologies for the long post but I don't know what to do for the best.

Is there anyone else who can take her?

Would your dd be disappointed if you don't take her? That would be my only concern, I would ignore what your dh thinks.

If you really don't feel up to it, don't take her. Even if your dd1 is disappointed she will get over it.

I take it no-one else can take her?
If you're ill, you're ill it can't be helped. You do sound quite poorly. Understand you don't want to let dd1 down, is she old enough to understand that you are poorly and that this week she might have to miss out?
Perhaps there are things you could do together, maybe snuggle together on the sofa under a duvet and watch TV ?

to be honest, i discussed it with dd before posting on here, she is absolutely fine with not going today. She has asked if we can have a dvd day, which is what we are going to do i think

then I hope you get a chance to rest today and don't feel guilty, and don't let your dh wind you up about it either.
