I am interested to see often on posts people at different stages of life as as parents, which one are you?

  • no kids but ttc
- no kids by choice (not sure if no kids by choice people come on MN!)
  • parents of babies and toddlers
  • parents of primary school age
  • parents of secondary and college age, uni age 18-21
  • parents of 20 somethings
  • parents of 30 and above
  • parents of mixed ages

Probably missed something out but you get the jist.....

No kids by choice.

As for why I'm here, you can read the 5846 existing threads on this very topic.

MeowPurrGrr · 28/03/2021 16:13

No kids but not necessarily by choice as I’ve never had proper long term relationship where this has been an option. I’m ok with it though as never been massively maternal for my own.

Still very much hoping I’ll meet ‘the one’, even at 42!!

Zealois · 28/03/2021 16:13

Living with my partner, not married yet. No kids yet either but probably in the next 2-3 years. Currently saving for a house deposit.

XenoBitch · 28/03/2021 16:13

Child free by choice. I signed up to Mumsnet as it is popular, fast moving and anonymous. I know Reddit is like that too but I don't understand or like the whole karma thing so never bothered.

MeowPurrGrr · 28/03/2021 16:14

To add to my previous post, I’m here as I find the vast majority of posts aren’t child related anyway.

MsAwesomeDragon · 28/03/2021 16:14

I have one at uni and one at primary school. Looking forward to more freedom as the youngest becomes more independent.

GreenSlide · 28/03/2021 16:16

Dog napping on sofa.

Upupupintheair · 28/03/2021 16:18

Early days here, but currently pregnant with my first 🤫

allthingsred · 28/03/2021 16:18

3 children all secondary school age
Enjoying this stage. Yes it's hard & full of hormonal drama. But it's nice to chat & have fun with them ( in the 30 mins once a week they let me)

Goleor · 28/03/2021 16:18

8 weeks pregnant with my first and last 😂😂😂 I've never been so sick in all my life.

MrsTulipTattsyrup · 28/03/2021 16:18

You missed my category - no children, not by choice, long period of infertility and multiple pregnancy loss, now perimenopausal.

MadisonAvenue · 28/03/2021 16:20

Parents of 20 somethings.
Sons aged 24 and 20, both still living at home, both in long term relationships.

Oldest is back living at home after uni and is now saving for a house deposit with his girlfriend so hopes to move out next year.

Cottagepieandpeas · 28/03/2021 16:21

EnglishRain · 28/03/2021 16:35

One baby here

trappedsincesundaymorn · 28/03/2021 16:36

1 DD in her late 20's. Lives 3 hours away with her DP of 8 years. No grandkids as she is childfree by choice.

Shehasadiamondinthesky · 28/03/2021 16:40

I have one DS aged 39 and a lovely DiL, they have no children and don't intend on having any. I'm happy with that.
I live alone in my own home and work full time, I'm 60.
Given all the talk of a very large comet hitting the earth in around 100 years puts me off our family expanding.

Have I missed something? Is this in mainstream news?

Ninkanink · 28/03/2021 16:43

Parent of 20-somethings. But I had them young so I’m still young myself.
