JKR talked of 10 books so if they do get together I doubt it’ll be until then

No I think it was brought to the boil to quickly already. Which is why I find it frustrating, I want more books, but this needs sorting also.

Personally I think it would spoil the dynamic so if it happens it wobble until the end of the series, which I hope won't be for a while yet!

I think the anticipation will keep it going. After she regretted the mistake of getting ron and hermionie together I think this will be a difficult decision and will be strung out for a while...

I'm worried that if they get together, one of them will then be killed off and I'm not sure I could cope with that!

Strike has said adamantly he doesn’t want children so I think Robyn will be pregnant with his baby by book 8 and he’ll have to come to terms with parenthood.

I think the best resolution is they do get together (after one more book of tension) but they split their working partnership - maybe Robyn gets a job somewhere, then their cases could overlap in an awkward way etc. sometimes, or when they don’t the reader gets treated to two mysteries in one book!

They’re both quite damaged though. They will have to have time to heal, we can’t have them going for it and then breaking up.
I think he’s finally finished with Charlotte now so that’s good.
It will have to come to a head soon. Maybe Strike will be arrested( properly this time) and Robin can solve the case.
Bloody hurry up though.

He's a toxic bully of a boss (yelling abuse at a man who's too unwell to work), he treats his girlfriends like literal shit, judges her for her own poor relationship whilst elevating his own toxic ex-girlfriend (and describes her as LITERALLY crazy). He actually fired her for making the same error as he did himself professionally whilst she was traumatised from a violent physical attack, and she was acting to protect a twelve year old who was being sexually abused. He spends half a book barely able to communicate with her after she marries someone else. At the end of that book when she's split up with him, she's conveniently put into a safe "living with gay friend" scenario to take her off the scene.

If you think that it's some sort of just romantic ending for Robin, I strongly urge you to consider your own personal relationships, as your judgement is spectacularly off.

(OK, I haven't read Troubled Blood - the "accidental kiss" in Lethal White was enough to make me vom in my mouth a bit, after the spectacularly unconvincing emotional turnaround about his nephew. And he continued to treat Lorelai like shit, so his epiphany was strictly limited to Robin.)

God I love the tension between them sooooooo much.

I’m re re re re re reading them and the archetypal JKR clues are there from the start- she’s leading them along a very carefully planned journey! I really hope there are ten in total, as I read somewhere - though I lack the patience to wait...

I agree, I think they already love each other although possibly they don't realise it yet.

I hope they get together in the last book.
