I'll start:

High waisted trousers with crop tops
Lip liner that goes over the top of cupid's bow

The better quality ones with different types of cakes in, take a fair bit of skill and time to decorate and put together. I think they make a lovely present

SmokedDuck · 26/03/2021 20:50

Tbf the music industry has seen a lot of auto tune but nowadays it's so minimal that its used only to tighten the performance rather than adjusting the sound of the voice. It also depends on the format and genre as sometimes it can be useful to have on regards to being a creative output

90% of what I hear on the pop radio stations my kids like are horrifically autotuned, and it's obvious, though they clearly are trying to sound natural. I'd rather have it sound totally fake, really.

Or - they could just get singers, who can sing, to make records.

BitOfFun · 26/03/2021 20:51

for all the grey haters, what do you have in your houses?. Much better than the decades of magnolia and 1000 shades of white.

I've decided that life is too short for grey OR magnolia, and that as I'm the one looking at my walls, rather than a prospective property buyer, I should just have it the way I like it.

@Cloud1220

Paying over the odds for baked goods, sweets or meats and cheeses ordered because they’re in a nice box with a ribbon and a branded sticker Grin
My post above was in response to this post 😊

I'm unrepentant in my grey wall love here - have it downstairs as it's easy to fuck about with colour schemes and change accessories basically. Starting to think about considering a change when I can be arsed to redecorate but at the moment it works for us here (pale lilac-toned grey).

I hope the insanely high maintenance look for young women dies a death though (for a while). I was talking to some of the other students on my course about how glad I was their age when grunge was a thing and it was just chuck a band t-shirt, jeans and DMs on to leave the house and not have to faff about contouring, straightening and spend like an age doing my sodding eyebrows. They agreed the extended time in bed sounded like a distinctly good idea.

MeltsAway · 26/03/2021 20:58

Awful ugly pencilled in thick black caterpillar eyebrows

Fake tan

orange-tinted or heavy foundation

TableNiner · 26/03/2021 20:58

Millennial pink/rose gold
Black bathroom hardware
Tropical themed decor, jungle, lemurs etc
Excessive botanics and faux plants
Normcore spectacles
70s fashion
Forms asking for a prefix Mr/Mrs/Miss when not required (I hope)

I like the way fashion is blurring between men and women, why would men be any less ‘allowed’ to wear skinny jeans than women?

@BitOfFun

love it

Foolingaround · 26/03/2021 21:07

Tropical themed decor, jungle, lemurs etc

I was going to get my downstairs loo redecorated in the lemur paper but realised it was going to date quickly. I do still love it but missed the boat, it’s all over instagram.

Jaffajam · 26/03/2021 21:11

Slug eyebrows. Utterly hideous

Bunnyfuller · 26/03/2021 21:11

The lips. The pout. The orange. THE EYEBROWS!

I snort with glee at how horrified all the fake huuuuge dark eyebrowers will be at their pics in a few years time.

Lips are pretty without fuller and ridiculous pout. And you can see it’s pout and not natural. Muscles around lips are different.

LadyWithLapdog · 26/03/2021 21:14

@areyoumeop sadly, correct. Healthcare and retail workers will continue to work all hours. Let’s hope we’ll get rid of appreciation in the form of claps and have proper wages that keep in step with inflation and the cost of living.

Jaffajam · 26/03/2021 21:14

I don’t mind skinny jeans or trousers on blokes. David Ginola looks hawwt in skinny trousers I’d ruin him whatever he wore tbh Grin

LadyWithLapdog · 26/03/2021 21:15

@BitOfFun I love those walls. What an impact.

Daisychainsandglitter · 26/03/2021 21:16

@BitOfFun I think your staircase looks great- love your walls.

CuteOrangeElephant · 26/03/2021 21:16

People exploiting their kids on YouTube/Instagram. I reckon legislation will come in at some point.

BluebellsGreenbells · 26/03/2021 21:18

I agree with the exploration

So many are forcing their cute kids on YouTube and will regret it as teens

They don’t have any control!

ForeverAintEnough12 · 26/03/2021 21:18

I think I would get a migraine if I had @BitOfFun hall but I know my two friends would love it. Each to their own. I prefer bright and airy hallways.

Ingridla · 26/03/2021 21:20

Long hair without tying it back or Alice band or clips to keep it off your face

Is that you, mum?

pictish · 26/03/2021 21:23

I must say I was never tempted by the grey. Like a previous poster says, we’re in Britain where the weather is predominantly overcast and rather glum...why would I want to extend that to my home interior? I wouldn’t consider it.
Grey works in France because they have sunshine to counteract it.

LetterFromLorah · 26/03/2021 21:29

I have somehow managed to miss the whole grey interiors thing. Can't believe how many people have mentioned it! I'll probably see it everywhere now! Grin

Absolutely. We decorate for ourselves, not for guests (and you'd be welcome for tea and cake!). I'm sure that most people could see past choices they wouldn't make personally.
Libraryghost · 26/03/2021 21:41

All the incessant gambling adverts, there is a growing realisation of the harm gambling does. . Reality tv and X factor and all that bollocks seems to be getting old.Microblading eyebrows. Grey plush type carpets..

poppycat10 · 26/03/2021 21:44

@1Morewineplease

As to Prosecco, many people prefer it to the more fizzy and , usually, very dry champagne.
which often tastes of sweaty socks. Sometimes it's great but when it's not, yuck. And then I prefer prosecco by a long way.

I also hope that influencers will find more useful ways to earn money.

And it would be nice to think that SUV-ownership would become socially unacceptable.
