To audition for a film even though I’ve never acted?

Flyer calling for people with my accent to apply for a new project. No acting experience required. Well known director.
My last acting role was my school play when I was 11 years old as an extra 😂

They want a 1 minute video sent in ... it seems so unlikely but what if? Also should I mention my autism on the clip or would that look too try hard?

Go for it definitely!! I was in Marcella 1st series, I have never acted before. All the professional actors thought I was a professional including a certain actor who has been in numerous films/Tv including Star Wars. It's a great experience don't let anything put you off!! Good luck

Surely the point of acting is that you can do accents - so why do they need to find someone who has the accent?

This doesn’t sound at all legit to me. Have you looked in to it to make sure it’s not dodgy or a scam?

If they just need locals to be extras then maybe, but otherwise I’d be suspicious. Sorry, OP.

Could you tell a story from your childhood? Your accent might naturally broaden, and if you can get some local placenames in too that might help. But I'm making this up so feel free to ignore me!

Rename the file to include your name?
