AIBU?

Oh has a parcel being delivered at 5 to his parents house which he needs to post but he can't post it today anyway so I said why don't you just wait until tomorrow to go and get it. (My day off aswell)

He said I may as-well just go get it now me and the kids can just have dinner there aswell.

I said so what about me am I just cooking a full on dinner for myself? So you can just sit at your mums all evening and have dinner done for you.

AIBU? I am working from home until 8 but I still cook and do dinner everyday.

All he likes to do is it go to his parents sit there all evening let them watch the kids and have all his dinner done for him winds me up!

@YukoandHiro

Jesus the chance to have a meal in peace by yourself and tv to yourself. Or book/radio/whatever... In the current situation I simply cannot understand why you're moaning about this 🤷🏻‍♀️
But most of us would love this cos it's be so god damn rare 😂. Op says it's every few days and it isn't like she can see anyone else whilst he's out
EarthieBear · 23/03/2021 20:38

@SleepingStandingUp they haven't bubbled. What is described is not a bubble. Two two adult families cannot bubble unless it's for childcare, it's not a social occasion

Op didn't say old the kids were, or that the mother wasn't single

EarthieBear · 23/03/2021 20:43

She says "his parents" in the first paragraph of her post.

AnneElliott · 23/03/2021 20:53

I can see why you're annoyed op as yuh e planned the dinner and he's buggered off! Plus it sounds like he won't be parenting - but will be passing the buck to his mother!

I do like having the house to myself though. I do a little jig if H decides to go to his parents at the weekend!

HelgaDownUnder · 23/03/2021 21:21

I dream of DH taking the kids off somewhere and leaving me alone for a bit.
Slow cooker meals are usually suitable for reheating and freezing, so dinner won't go to waste.
YABU.

Blockedoff · 23/03/2021 21:29

@EarthieBear what you going to do with yourself once lockdowns finished and your COVID police duties have ended?

OP, slow cooker dinner tomorrow and feet up tonight.

Enjoy.

Blockedoff · 23/03/2021 21:30

@EarthieBear oh do bore off!

EarthieBear · 23/03/2021 21:35

Covid police? hardly... what are you going to do when you can't be nasty to strangers on an internet forum when lockdown is mentioned less, turn your bullying tactics to some other method?

GlomOfNit · 23/03/2021 22:57

I dunno Blockedoff, maybe EarthieBear is following the fucking rules and fed up with it but doing it all the same so we can get out of this nightmare, and is rightly pissed off that some people are just parking their feet under their parents' table on a frequent basis regardless?

Sod off with the 'Covid Police' crap please. Why aren't we allowed to be exasperated and cross with people who behave like the rules don't apply to them?

Blockedoff · 24/03/2021 09:30

Yeah but the question wasn't is my OH breaking rules @GlomOfNit, other stuff is still going on in life.
