for a grown up, of course. wouldn;t dream of feeding it to dds. It's just that I'm working and I really can;t be bothered to go downstairs and make myself a proper lunch and the toffee is sooooooo nice.

No YANBU.

It has calcium in the butter, doesn't it? And energy in the sugar.

Giz a bit

EffiePerine · 08/11/2007 13:28

only if you add a toffee apple

hatwoman · 08/11/2007 13:29

hatwoman gets out mallet. bashes the toffee and hands a lump to irises

oooh - I love bonfire toffee. We called it plot toffee (my mum is from lancashire). Is it the really treacly stuff that glues your teeth together?

Can think of nothing more nutritious.

hatwoman · 08/11/2007 13:31

it's very treacly. very sticky. very bitter in fact.

My dd told me that one chocolate biscuit wouldn't be a balanced breakfast but two would - "because I could have one in each hand, Mummy"

Anybody got a recipe for Plot toffee? My dp's from Yorkshire and he's always talking about it. I'd love to make him some!

hatwoman · 08/11/2007 14:07

oh seeker - that's wonderful.

YANBU

I had three walnut whips and a carton of orange juice

hatwoman · 08/11/2007 14:16

how nice to know other people do stuff like eat 3 of something that somebody somewhere probably thinks you;re only meant to eat one of. I've never been a fan of this somebody somewhere.

I've just had half a bar of Heaven truffle chocolate (stuffed myself with the other half last night after DD and DH had gone to bed!)....... Just eyeing up a packet of chocolate fingers now . Definitely good for my health - not so sure about my teeth, spots or waistline though .

I think you'll find, that ounce for ounce its as nutritionally sound as the 4 choc hazlenut cookies and packet of strawberry chews I devoured for my lunch.

OrmIrian · 08/11/2007 14:23

What's bonfire toffee?

SOunds nice but does it contain ash?

MrsBadger · 08/11/2007 14:24

ah, but hat, they come in boxes of three
it is meant to be

hatwoman · 08/11/2007 14:34

no way double top! hazlenut cookies (x4) and strawberry chews. You've had your 5 portions.
