@ShirleyPhallus yours is the only nasty comment. Who gives a shit about chipped nails fgs!
It’s just such an odd thing to do. I cannot imagine ever caring so much about what strangers think of me that I post a hand photo / selfie etc and then ask people to guess what they think of me.

Best case - they get your age sort of right
Worst case - everyone massively over guesses (as has happened here!) and then what’s the point? Confused

thosetalesofunexpected · 22/03/2021 16:36

@Changemaname1
Try doublebase gel - not too greasy and has the advantage of not stinging even on cracked open skin.

idontlikealdi · 22/03/2021 16:49

Good skin bad nails. 55.

Quadrangle · 22/03/2021 16:50

Maybe 30s?

Popcornbetty · 22/03/2021 16:56

I’d guess 30 max with no dc. My hands have aged 20 years over night I swear since having my 2 dc! Lines all around the knuckles and I’m in early 30’s, washing them all the time, washing up and COVID has done them no favours as well!

HopeHappy · 22/03/2021 16:58

Compared to mine they look similar, but your skin looks a little less wrinkly around the knuckles than mine. I'm 42, so I'm going to guess 35?

Re cream recommendations, my nail tech recommends this Weleda Skin Food - it's really thick though, so I'm not too sure about it.

The nicest dry skin hand cream I've found has been Boots own brand extra dry skin cream. I only bought it in desperation one day as it was all they had in stock and I'd turned in to a flaky mess just before I was going to a meeting. I can't find it on their website now, annoyingly.

Procrastination4 · 22/03/2021 16:58

@honkytonkheroe I think my hands are very similar to yours! (I’m in my 50s) Unfortunately I’ve always been pathetic for applying hand cream, but I’ve decided to make a real effort to do it daily from now on to see can I improve their look a tiny bit. On the other hand, Wink they are great hands! They can produce decent food, nice cakes, lovely handwriting and can play piano pretty well. So while they may not look the best, they are pretty amazing! (OP, if you are a mere slip of a thing, moisturize to keep your hands looking as good as they are. And if you’re in your late 40s or 50s, I’m rather envious!)

ConstanceGracy · 22/03/2021 16:58

Early 40’s I reckon.

DudeistPriest · 22/03/2021 17:03

Joey Tribbiani
I suppose you think they are hand twins?

MindfullWWer · 22/03/2021 17:11

I saw a Dr on TV the other day recommending Epaderm Hand Cream for the Covid hands (extra hand washing and sanitizer) not tried it yet but made sure I wrote the name down for when I'm next out n about to try it.

StrudelSoup · 22/03/2021 17:13

I know what Shirley means. These guess my age threads often don't go so well for an OP.

I hate the comment you see on celeb photos of ANY actress, etc... "the hands never lie" (never read the comments, I know). But whoever said that first should be hunted down.

I'm 51! We always laugh about my hands and I can remember my mum's looking similar. I think it's mainly because neither of us had any fat on our hands. I had skin problems following some mediation I took that didn't help though! Sometimes I see very elderly people holding hands on certain adverts and their hands look very similar to mine!Grin

NotSorry · 22/03/2021 17:26

They look similar to mine and I'm 53
