To ask what the acceptable time is for kids being in the trampoline on the garden on a weekend?

Next door's kids were out at 8am on the trampoline. Neighbour on their other side is hoping I'll kick off about it with her (we are friendly and she messaged me). But I think 8am is actually ok, but no sooner. I CBA with a neighbourly dispute (plus my kids are gobshites any given day of the week)

Thoughts on an acceptable time?

10am maybe. 8am feels too early for a weekend when most have been at work all week and may like to lie in or have a quiet start to their day off.

vodkaredbullgirl · 21/03/2021 17:40

8 am too early, maybe late morning.

EeeByeGummieBear · 21/03/2021 17:40

I'd say 8 was acceptable- but definitely no earlier! Is she expecting to complain because she thinks it's too early?

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 21/03/2021 17:41

Yes she's complaining because it's too early and the street is a very echoey street

I think its too early. I'd let mine from around 9.30am, I think.

CombatBarbie · 21/03/2021 17:41

I'd say closer to 10 would be more acceptable.... 9/9.30 if you are pushing it. I wouldn't be amused if my only days for a lie in were ruined by screaming kids... And I say that with 2 of my own.

VerityWibbleWobble · 21/03/2021 17:41

10am and no earlier. Mine used to moan but I stood my ground.

WorraLiberty · 21/03/2021 17:41

I'd say 9am onwards but I have no idea why I've picked that time really.

MrsOmelette · 21/03/2021 17:41

I say not in the garden before 9am on a Saturday and 10am on a Sunday.

Greenandcabbagelooking · 21/03/2021 17:44

I would say 9 am - 5pm, but it would depend on how noisy the children and trampoline are, where the trampoline is in relation to houses, and how long the children were out for.

Bunnybigears · 21/03/2021 17:44

Possibly 8 on a Saturday but definitely more like 9:30/10 on a Sunday

SimplyMarvellousDarrrrrrling · 21/03/2021 17:46

Lunchtime ish
No one wants to be disturbed on a Sunday morning

zzzebra · 21/03/2021 17:46

I'd say 9am on a weekend was more acceptable, especially on a Sunday.

But if it doesn't bother you don't complain. It's not worth the hassle of falling out with your neighbours

Whammyyammy · 21/03/2021 17:48

I think 8am is too early.

Mumdiva99 · 21/03/2021 17:49

Whatever we say you weren't bothered. So no point starting a dispute about something you aren't bothered about.

Bringonthemushrooms · 21/03/2021 17:51

9am is acceptable

switswoo81 · 21/03/2021 17:52

We actually got our first trampoline this week (lockdown desperation). I said no trampoline before 10:30 am. One set of neighbours have teenagers so it probably is still a bit early but I thought it was a good compromise.
Also no screeching or shouting or they come in.

noblegreenk · 21/03/2021 17:52

8am in a Saturday and 10am on a Sunday.

seepingweeping · 21/03/2021 17:53

I think 9.30 onwards is fine for my kids but they're loud.

If someone else's kids were outside playing before that, I wouldn't care.

ellenpartridge · 21/03/2021 17:55

8 am is fine

Grandslam21 · 21/03/2021 17:58

9am on a Saturday and 10am on a Sunday.

Grandslam21 · 21/03/2021 17:59

Did they actually wake your neighbour up, or is she just being a misery arse?

Bahhhhhumbug · 21/03/2021 17:59

God l used to live in a first floor flat with my kitchen window on the side of the building overlooking the neighbouring houses garden. Drove me insane, thud creak thud creak thud creak it was every bit of decent weather when l obviously wanted to open my kitchen and/or bathroom windows but couldn't because l could hear it even louder then. It's like a dripping tap but much louder. My neighbours kids were big/ older ones too and really used go mad on it, not just gentle bouncing and even went on it late at night.
I'm with your neighbour l'm afraid.

HollyGoLoudly1 · 21/03/2021 17:59

I don't let mine out until after 9am but 8am wouldn't bother me, not enough to complain certainly. Our bin collection is a Sunday and can be as early as 7.30 so our whole street is up anyway. Such is life!

PotteringAlong · 21/03/2021 18:00

I say too early. We don’t have a trampoline but I don’t let the kids go into the garden before 9am
