Putting here as this gets alot of traffic.

This consultation/survey is open until the 26th March.

Please, if you can, take part if you want to help get across the effect that violent porn and other normalised behaviours is seriously affecting the shocking increase in violence towards women and girls.

Thankyou

violent porn and other normalised behaviours is seriously affecting the shocking increase in violence towards women and girls

Hi OP,

So that I can make the best possible evidence case, can you provide some specific figures?

How much has violence against women and girls increased, and over what period?
How can we know that violent porn is the reason for it?
What are the 'other normalised behaviours' you had in mind, and, again, how do we know the effect they have on rates of violent offending against women and girls?

It would just be really useful to be specific about this. Thanks!

This is all explained in the survey.

And thanks for sharing OP

@Pumperthepumper is it? Where? There aren't any figures I can see at the link the OP gave, but if you have an different source or something I'd love to see it.

It’s your opinion of it. So you’ll have to do the groundwork yourself if you still need convincing of the scale of the problem.

Again, this is explained in the survey.

Done it.

Interesting that the helpful links at the end has 20 places to go for help and four are for men only, yet we’re led to believe there’s nothing out there for men who experience abuse?

@suspiria777

Yes its your opinion, as @Pumperthepumper has said.

I just thought people may want to know about it and have their say as the option to do so closes shortly.

My personal view is that I do think violent and degrading porn, which is more and more prevelent, has had an impact on violence by men towards women and girls. And some sexual acts, which are degrading or dangerous or harmful to women have been somewhat normalised as a result of it. I am concerned for both my teenage daughter and teenage sons in a world where this is considered ok.

I don't have any figures. Just mine, my friends and my teenage daughters experience to go on.

My opinion. Which is what the survey is asking for.
