Just found out Simon Mayo is back on the radio at Drivetime

Nothing against Sara Cox but I just couldn't get on with her show (btw she's still at Radio 2, Simon Mayo's on Greatest Hits Radio now). It's annoying having adverts but it still feels all warm and fuzzy and familiar Smile

AIBU to feel disproportionately happy?!

I miss a bit of Simon, but I hate adverts on the radio. They need to put him back on R2.

I like Sara Cox, but Zoë is annoying: she's so oleaginous and boot-licky to her guests it makes me squirm. I recall her (50) interviewing a young (early 20's) pop band and telling the singer how gorgeous he was and saying she was fanning herself. I nearly cringed myself inside out.

Love Ken and Jeremy Vine, find Liza tedious, and Steve Wright needs to retire ASAP!

I've never listened to Greatest Hits before but I've been enjoying Simon on the drive home this week, so thanks OP. I couldn't be bothered to retune to something else in the mornings so now so also listen to Rossi in the mornings and that's fine too.

On radio 2 I like Michael Ball and Liza Tarbuck and Rylan, but their weekday stuff is unbearable. I was recently forced to listen to Steve Wright and his serious jockin nonsense can fuck right off.

@Bmidreams

Sara's lovely, it's Zoe that needs to go. Although she has forced me back to radio and I love Greg James. Never thought I'd be back there in my 40s!
Zoe Ball is absolutely dreadful. So insincere and fake. Everyone is supposedly "gorgeous", "beautiful" and "incredible. I cannot bear the woman. How she came to be the highest paid female presenter is absolutely unbelievable. She's an awful presenter
