Clothes (tops/jumpers) are always too short on me.

Hi all, not an aibu but does anyone else have the issue with tops being too short. I’m 5 foot 7 so not short but not hugely tall I guess. I don’t like tops that are too short and prefer them to cover up my tummy.

Everything I buy is too short. Is it the way they are made or my body shape and height? I try and size up but still often too short.

Maybe I have a long torso compared to my legs. What online stores have a good selection of tall clothing? Thinking I’ll have to start buying from the tall sections.

I’m in regular length jeans.

Next, Asos, NewLook, Dotty Ps, Gap, BooHoo, PLT, SeaSalt all have tall sections. All online.

I find this too op and am similar height to you. I think tends have changed over the past few years and tops are generally shorter in the body for some reason. I've had to return quite a few for this reason and kept one or two that have been just ok but then after one wash have been too short. If I size up, it's then usually too big everywhere else.

Have you tried ASOS? I’m 5ft 11 and have had some good buys from their Tall section.

I find a lot of the tops from tall sections are then too long in the arms though. Surely 5ft 6/7 isn't that tall? I would expect tall ranges to cater for those 5ft 8/9 and above.

I find the same and trousers come up too short. It's like they want women to have a bare middle.

I'm short and often find jumpers uncomfortably short. I like them to come at least halfway down my arse and don't want to reveal acres of bare back when sitting down.

Thanks all. I’m rubbish at buying clothes. If I size up they often fit a little better but too big around my arms and flat chest! I just don’t suit short tops with my belly after 2 children!

I do think I have a longer torso compared to my legs which doesn’t help!
