AIBU to think I need to find a new way to make money?

Prior to Covid I was self employed as a social media manager and digital strategist for small businesses. I specialised in independent creative businesses but also branched out into a bit of hospitality as well.
Covid hit and lockdown happened and those small business closed. I was kept on for a few clients who wanted a skeleton approach to social to remind clients they were adapting etc but this has dried up too now, understandably.
Clients can’t afford to keep me and are going it alone.

None of the businesses I would usually work for are doing well enough to hire external help at the moment and bigger companies hire agencies in my experience and from what feedback I’ve been given recently.

I’ve pitched and pitched, created new packages for different types of business and clients and nada. I’m hoping if things open again it might pick up but fully understand that it might not. In fact I’m leaning towards the fact that a lot of people will try to manage their own social media and marketing campaigns as they’ve probably had time to think about it themselves if they’re smaller scale.

Like many people I’m scared that my only source of income has dried up and I keep feeling like I’m going to have to completely change what I do in order to adapt - no idea what though! DH thinks it will all get back to some semblance of what it was this year and as business picks up again people will want to hire help again.

I feel completely lost with it all and can’t quite see through my panic at the moment. AIBU To think I’m going to have to retrain/repackage my skills somehow as my previous business model isn’t going to be profitable anymore?
