SIX YEARS it’s taken to clear this Detective Constable - Millions of pounds in taxpayers money. When he was cleared on this current charge relating to prostitution, they decided to decline to go further with other charges, including voyeurism, as it was not in the public interest. He was initially arrested in November 2014 for 3 counts of voyeurism with the charges relating ‘to an ongoing investigation by the Directorate of Professional Standards Anti-Corruption Command’ (as reported in The Evening Standard on 1st December 2015)

I suppose in the light of recent appalling events and the arrest of a Metropolitan Police officer I paid more attention to this case. The other thing that got my closer attention with this article were DC Williams’ comments to the female Prosecutor upon being cleared:

‘No hard feelings, if there's a movie Ms Jones, you will be played by Cate Blanchett.'

Strikes me as the comments of a very cocky man with a bit of a disrespectful attitude to women in general. You would think he would show more humility or just keep quiet after keeping the court and prosecution team so busy since 2014. It would appear he is no longer a serving officer.
