Mother day 'that's lovely Darling' stories- very very lighthearted

I'm currently laying in bed having been sent upstairs whilst my 3 year old and her Dad make me a mothers day 'surprise'. It's cute, hilarious and worrying in equal measures:)))
I've already been called been 3 times for various questions like have we got any golden caster sugar (who has???) ok will ordinary caster sugar taste the same? "Mummy do you like lemon muffins because I don't", Is the fan oven the same as a normal oven?
And I'm listening to the conversation going on such "that's ok I think we've all the egg shell out" and "look if you keep eating all that there won't be any muffins and you'll make yourself sick".
Bless them both but it doesn't sound good:)))
Anyone else having to smile it out whilst dreading their mother's day 'surprises?' Would love to hear your stories.

I had toast brought to me in bed. Which my toddler stole most of and a card that I bought myself and the 6 year old wrote in (helped his his dad)
I made everyone lunch and dinner and barely got 5 minutes to myself and now I'm cleaning up and doing bedtime so pretty shit in all.
It'd be nice to just be appreciated. ☹️

DS 7 brought home this from school on Friday. Apparently when I'm bored during the day while he's at schoo,l I can play with it, putting into different positions like jumping Jack's etc. I mean I am off on maternity leave just now, but still quite busy. Apparently he thinks I sit around not doing much though, just waiting for him to come home 🤣. I wish son.

A card from my Goddaughter aged 8, she'd picked a "Happy birthday Granny" card because it had a cat on it. In it she wrote "Happy Mother's day Aunty Splendid do you like cats i do goodbye". She'd also filled the envelope with her hamster's dried pea flakes.

I had both daughters come to me separately to tell me they’d ordered something but it hasn’t turned up!

When DS2 was in primary school he would be so excited about what he bought me at the school mother's day stall he couldn't wait and would have to show me as soon as I picked him up. He would then go to elaborate lengths to hide the present he had already shown me, so that I wouldn't find it, and tell me that I had to be surprised when he gave it to me Grin.

I had to neutralise DSs mini tantrum in the local petrol station caused by me refusing to buy a very expensive hedgehog with a heart toy for myself.

I got up to my son eating his breakfast as he didnt want to wait, then he gave me a box of chocolates that DH helped him choose, a type of chocs I hate! I played along until DSD came in and said, dont you hate those?? At least someone knows me, she gave me bubbly 😊 x
My DS also gave me a handwritten note saying how much he loves me and I could look at that note when he's gone!! He then clarified he meant gone back to school (tomorrow) not dead!!

Adult DC are amazing for Mothers Day
I was treated to a home made gluten free afternoon tea that would have made the Ritz jealous
Then plied with cocktails aplenty
Even received presents
When they were little it was still lovely just different
