To want a Republic?

Nobody in the RF section can give a fact-based reason for keeping the monarchy, but there are plenty of opinions.

YABU- the monarchy are objectively better than the alternatives

YANBU- economically and morally we'd be better off as a Republic

Yeah, land redistribution has a pretty chequered history, and I say that as someone who thinks land probably shouldn't be privately owned as such.

Indeed, it's hardly going to go to those who need it or even be protected as common land.

(I know- "protected" and "common land" are hardly words that go together!)
