To be concerned about male guards in female prisons ?

I have seen a lot of posts, ( rightfully, in my opinion), raising serious concerns about trans woman accessing female prisons. But there never seems to be any debate regarding male guards in female prisons/ immigration detention. I worked with homeless women, ( often who had additional immigration issues), and nearly all of those who had spent time in prison/ immigration detention had expressed that the behaviour of male officers had left them feeling very vulnerable. AIBU to think this is also an issue that should be looked at ?

Yes. Male guards watching female inmates shower is completely inappropriate and a constant issue raised by female inmates that garners little attention.

It also seems that although the people recruited had "clean" DBS their attitude and the manner in which they spoke to very vulnerable women was disgusting.
