Please, find out when the packers are coming, and gift it in plenty of time before then.
We got given loads of lovely stuff the day before we flew. It literally didnt fit in the suitcases.

Depending in where they are going...a food/drink packet... decent tea, Cheese, crisps, marmite, chocolate, lemsip, Cadbury creme eggs, colin the Caterpillar sweets fron M&S..magazines etc. These are all things that are either on my pack and take with me list or things I ask people to bring over. Obviously check that these things are actually allowed into the country they are going to...
