To think that a photo opportunity in a school with a black woman does not make you racist.

Visiting a school and chatting with a black teacher does not undo the damage.

OP posts:
Doingitaloneandproud · 11/03/2021 19:29

This is ridiculous. So a POC was at the school, should he have avoided her instead? Would that be better?

Sprining · 11/03/2021 19:35

Is it coincidence RF visiting a black church yesterday and then RF photo op with a black teacher today.

Maybe the RF is trying a tad hard. A bit like when someone is accused of racism, they say but, but I have a black friend.

I believe Charles was there yesterday to help get the message across to "communities that are wary" of the vaccine that the vaccine safe! That's their job to assist the Country in promoting things in subtle ways....🤔🤔

So you're saying the M and H interview went out and the next day Will's PR people phoned round local schools to find out which had a black head teacher and then when they found one they said they needed to arrange a visit for the very next day and the head teacher said yes that would be lovely.

Talk about putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5.

crowsfeet57 · 11/03/2021 19:56

FFS

What do you expect? Do you want some form of segregation? Maybe any visits made by the RF should be scrutinised to make sure they don't accidentally meet anyone you don't approve of.

I know! Lets get the rack out from the Tower of London and torture them all on prime time TV until they admit to being racists and having racist ancestors. Then we can reinstate Tyburn as a place of execution and have them hung drawn and quartered on GMB and burn Piers Morgan at the stake just to add to the entertainment.

Sprining · 11/03/2021 19:59

Yes, I’m sure having a white member of the Rf will really reassure the black community to vaccinate.

Not even a tad patronising and pointless?

ekidmxcl · 11/03/2021 20:00

Sorry Sweaty, I’m no royalist. I think we should keep them as they are a net economic benefit, bringing tourism. Plus I’m not sure why people want to remove the royals, when they are part of British culture. I’m not any kind of “fan” of any of them and I most certainly don’t blindly believe what they say, particularly as PA’s stories don’t add up.

Anyway. Meghan has fallen out with her dad, half brother, half sister, all of her mum’s family apart from her mum, her best friend, her exh and many more. Not to mention all the inlaws now. M&H stated they wanted privacy and then did a massively hyped interview broadcast in about 60 countries. So I think to blindly believe what they say is actually totally illogical.

I am genuinely confused as to why anyone would unquestioningly believe the claims made. To me it displays a complete lack of critical thinking. Particularly as it was all so cloaked. I would have preferred to hear facts like: [This] person said [that] in response to [this] [before/during/after whatever event]. I’m interested in the facts.

I do think the allegations of racism should be fully investigated, though. By the police because discrimination on the grounds of race is criminal.

You don’t have to be on the royals’ side or on M&H’s side. I’m not and I’m not sure why you think I love the royals.

Sprining · 11/03/2021 20:06

“I do think the allegations of racism should be fully investigated, though. By the police because discrimination on the grounds of race is criminal”

I agree there should be a public enquiry, it is not simply a family matter as the family is also our head of state

YABVU.

This visit will have been planned and on the comma grid for months. It was not a staged photo op- it’s a school in east London, you’d expect to see black teaching staff there.

Your post is ignorant and pathetic.

VestaTilley · 11/03/2021 20:13

Radio4Rocks · 11/03/2021 20:14

Oh dear, OP.

Made a bit of a fool of yourself here.

littlepattilou · 11/03/2021 20:27

@Lastfreakinglegs

ODFOD. And do proof read your thread titles before posting, because you look very silly. (And even moreso with the content of this ludicrous goady thread!

Howtomakeevery1 · 11/03/2021 20:28

Oh fuck off

tellmewhentheLangshiplandscoz · 11/03/2021 20:32

Does asking this question make you stupid?

Figgygal · 11/03/2021 20:32

Don’t talk rot
This will have been in the diary months ago

There’s no evidence that William is racist at all Harry actually has more of a history in that regard but apparently nor Oprah or his wife didn’t mention that

islockdownoveryet · 11/03/2021 20:45

Sweet lord op what are you talking about ?
Your op makes no sense ,
Visiting a school with a black teacher doesn’t mean your not a racist ?
Wtf are you on about ?
Are you meagan? Because you sound like her as you are as vague as Megan on that interview.
As least make it clear what you actually on about instead of us all guessing .

Felifox · 11/03/2021 20:50

I thought the Cambridges were paying a visit to support school staff who have been working hard during the pandemic. I was quite amused at the little girl giving Will orders where to put toys. What I hadn't given a thought to was that the staff were of different races. Many of us think that's normal

VladmirsPoutine · 11/03/2021 20:59

Yanbu. Only a few days ago an article in the Sunday Times quoted a royal staffer rebuking the claims that the RF is in any way racist because of their links with the commonwealth.

R.e that Black teacher from earlier I do wonder if they asked her if she had any of her 'traditional African wear' that she could wear today. Notice she was the only one without a coat! I hope she was paid handsomely by the PRs Grin

littlepattilou · 11/03/2021 21:07

I don't think this thread went quite the way the OP expected! Wink

Gone a bit quiet there @Lastfreakinglegs Nothing to say. You had enough to say when you posted the bloody thread! Hmm

Rubyupbeat · 11/03/2021 21:58

This engagement would not be arranged overnight, so very much doubt it was set up. Stratford has a high ratio of black and asian people, so do the schools, I know I worked there, so the fact the head was black is not unusual in that area.

GCAcademic · 11/03/2021 22:01

Yes, the royals should be making sure they are never near a black person again, just in case it’s construed as a PR stunt. Because that wouldn’t be racist, would it?

aweegc · 11/03/2021 22:19

If that teacher is reading this thread, or anybody reading it knows her, I loved her top! I was also hoping she wasn't cold, but she did look great. Not because it was "African" (wtf - couldn't we even go for a rough geographical area on an large continent?!), but cos it just looked great on her!

And sorry she's/you've been brought into this when you were just doing your job.

BobRossPaints · 12/03/2021 08:35

OP - opinions like this stir up racism where it does't exist.
This trip will have been organised months ago. Have a word with yourself.

FluffyHippo · 12/03/2021 08:38

I'll just leave this here...

To think that a photo opportunity in a school with a black woman does not make you racist.
