He's always wanting a new phone. One he bought 2nd hand for £200 he had it 3 days before he wanted a different one, so sold the first one at a loss, bought a brand new one, now less than 6 months later he's bought another brand new one for £400 & selling the old one at a loss. He is currently paying 2 phone contracts as before all the above he sold one phone & was meant to pay off the contract once he sold the phone but the money went on other stuff 🤦♀️
Headphones, bloody headphones. He wanted some over ear ones, apparently they were great (+ expensive), then he wanted some in ear ones for work so got them. A few months later he found some more over ear ones on offer, apparently even better than the first pair so off he goes to buy them.
Then there is speakers. A few years ago he brought a complete speaker set up for the living room, cost a small fortune (which we couldn't really afford) & a few weeks ago he decided to sell it all (obviously at a loss to what we paid & its not all sold yet) as he decided it was a good idea to put 2 Google nest's at a cost of £90 each, each side of the telly to use as speakers, he's since discovered he can't connect them to the TV, so now he wants to buy some more speakers at £200 & put the Googles somewhere in the house. He's justified this by saying the speakers are a bargain as they are half price so should be £400.
We've also had various other Google minis over the years he's bought, then sold at a loss then decided actually we do need them so has bought more.
He went bankrupt a few years ago & has now got a credit card to build his credit score back up, he used this to buy his latest phone of £400 + we are having some work done on the car this week which will have to go on the credit card which is fine as it was for 'emergencies' which the car work is.
He's now in a sulk as I've put my foot down to say enough is enough. We have 2 kids & a 3rd on the way, I never buy anything for myself due to lack of money & just scraping by each month & now I need to get some maternity trousers & will need to buy baby stuff as I sold it all after our 2nd, surely I'm right in thinking baby stuff is far more important than more stupid speakers we don't need?
I've told him to start being responsible with money & he's always moaning he's got no money after paying the bills etc but it's only a matter of time before he wants to buy something else. Am I the one in the wrong here?
