To get up at 530 to exercise?

This would be half an hour before DS gets up so not much difference. I don't find it easy to find time to exercise and I'm really struggling with the lockdown weight.

AIBU to think getting up at 530 to exercise is a good idea?

YABU - you are demented. Why even consider such a thing
YANBU - that's a great use of time!

@goodbyelenin

The real question is WHEN can you exercise?

if 5:30 is the only time, then there's no question, you just have to do it. It's a question of priority.

It's harder to motivate yourself to be consistent when you are alone. Have you looked in your area if there are any virtual classes?

I find it hard at 5am, because I often work late so when I can't go to bed before midnight, I am shattered at 5am, and then have a full day to do.

If you can have an early night and just can't be bothered to exercise then, go for it. Remember that being over-tired tend to make you eat crap during the day, that's all.

The over tiredness leading to poor food choices is definitely something I've been struggling with.

I didn't manage to do it this morning so I'm going for a walk shortly while DP puts DS to bed.

Do it! You will feel great that you’ve got it out the way. I always get my workout clothes out the night before, then you’re good to go Smile

I love early morning exercise 😊 unfortunately I now start work at 4am so I’m trying to find a new routine as I’m not exercising before work 😭😭

Was up this morning to do Grit (Les Mills HIIT) and a bit of spin. Showered and having my coffee now feeling good. Work 8-6pm so hoping the energy is sustained 😬😂

I tried this for a good few months but unfortunately my daughter is such a bad sleeper overnight that it wasn't working our for me (excuse pun) while I was sleeping badly overnight. When her sleep settles I definitely want to try again. I would say it only works if you are getting quality sleep overnight first.

Not really Grin. DS doesn't sleep well, and gets up at 6am anyway so I thought half an hour earlier wouldn't make much difference.

I went out for a walk yesterday evening but I think it's still too dark to do that and feel safe so I'll have to scrap that for a little while. sigh.
