Well done! You are amazing and it is incredibly hard and important work deserving of respect.
I recently went back to work now my youngest is at school (my job means my children were in school over this last lockdown) and just wanted to call back to all of you in the trenches.
I can vividly and viscerally remember how hard it is to work so hard, get little sleep, ground hog day, constant cleaning, lack of respect at parties (remember those!), dragging yourself to the park in the rain, toddlers screaming over shoes or the wrong plate whilst juggling the baby.
We had lovely days too. I wouldn’t trade those 5 years for anything. But it was hard work.
My life is 100% easier now even in a pretty stressful job.
So well done. Lockdown parenting little ones is tougher still. Don’t get me started on babies, toddlers AND homeschooling. Complete heros.
