To think that chocolate tastes better when it's shaped like an egg

Is it just me who thinks this?

Currently obsessed with mini eggs - the Smarties ones, Milky Bar ones, the regular Mini Eggs.

Why does chocolate seem to taste better when it is shaped like an egg!? Or am I just a weirdo!?

It is so bizarre, I know the chocolate is the same as the bars but egg shaped chocolate is just a thousand times better!

I have no idea, but this isn't his only flaw. I may have to get rid of him.

I have a scientific theory, maybe the eggs allow more chocolate on your tongue compared to a thick square from a bar!

DD tried melting chocolate onto mint leaves To make leaf shaped chocs for fun and that seemed to taste much nicer too!

Nah, it tastes like it cost £4 for a standard £1 worth of chocolate

Yes, I put my easter eggs in the freezer so they are really cold and the chocolate snaps and they are divine.

Well, not Divine. Cadbury's of course.

Yes..personally I like the thinness of a large eggs chocolate. Definitely tastes different😋

I used to work with a food scientist who had worked at Rowntree’s in York and she said it was a different higher melting point formulation to ensure the hollow eggs retain their shape.

Cadbury Mini Eggs are the food of the gods.

DH totally agrees. I've been stocking up on those Cadbury Egg Heads eggs for £1 each in Tesco for him. He hates the accompanying bars etc but loves the egg itself.

I have 7 Easter eggs in the house for nieces and nephews and it's so hard not to eat them.
I have 2 bars of galaxy in the fridge that have been sitting there for weeks. They do not have the same appeal.

Definitely! And you can break a bit off one half of the egg and use it to write ‘this egg belongs to Dargonfly’ on the other half so nobody can claim to eat your egg ‘by accident’.

I shall. He also doesn't like fish, so he is just a lost cause. I'll have him buried under the patio, no one else should have to deal with him.

@FangsForTheMemory I freeze my Easter eggs too! So much better when you get that snap from the chocolate... I thought I was the only one who did this 😂

I LOVE mini eggs but hate Easter eggs.
The fact that they’re hollow makes them taste weird, they are basically what disappointment tastes like.

Bunnies are better than eggs. Anyone who disagrees should meet me in the parking lot.
