Hello all

Just wondering really what to do
Work in a very pressurised job
Usually love it
We are very short staffed and it has been tough going

Well - I got covid 10 weeks ago
Slowly gaining energy
Mornings I tend to feel ok (some of the time)

Work are really short staffed and I said I would try my best to be back on Monday
My brain fog is really quite bad (zero concentration , some blurred vision)
My energy by afternoon is really limited

I feel so bad to let them down
And I worry that I should just be over this by now
So Monday do I
Ring gp and explain all this
Or
Try to get myself back to work and see how it is for a few weeks???

Any advice would be so so much appreciated xxxx

Hello guys

They have been helpful and are happy with one day spaced across 5 for the first few weeks back and then to review it all

Many thanks this has been so so helpful on here. Xxxxxxxxx

Good to hear

Now is the time to work to rule, no more working overtime and killing yourself.

It could well be a long long time until you are 100% you need to prioritise downtime and relaxation over work. Firm boundaries and they will eventually stop trying to take the piss!

Thank you so so true

That is the way to ease myself in

How are others on here who have been off?

How are you feeling? I return to work soon and am nervous about it! Both about whether or not I can still do the job and how exhausted it will likely make me.
