to think Ronan Keating can’t sing? Which other famous singers can’t sing?

When I was a teenager I thought Ronan Keating had a great voice (despite not being my type of music) but I think I probably just fancied him. I’ve just heard one of his songs from around 1999 pop up on a Spotify playlist and he sounds like a goat yelping into a Pringles can.

I know lots of pop stars can’t sing for shite but in my head I had him in a bracket of people who can sing nicely - despite probably not having listened to his music for 20+ years.

Can RK sing?

Which other pop stars who people think are decent singers actually turn out to sound like a farm yard animal with trapped wind.

I am a massive pumpkins fan and it wouldn't be the same without his nasal warble. Can he sing?! Its almost irrelevant, isn't it?

Also have always been indifferent to Adele and missed the hype around her but have a remixed drum N bass version of 'hometown' on my running playlist. I have genuinely been singing "in my hometown, Maeve and Maureen are friends" for years and laughed when I looked up the actual lyrics the other day!

I totally agree, she’s all stage presence and no actual vocal ability. If I wanted to listen to moody mumbling, I’ve two teenagers that can provide it for free.

Keating is Absolutely talentless in very aspect of the word.

Also Billie Elish - don't get the hype. Why would you want to have to strain your ears to understand what someone's singing?! (And I use the term singing very loosely - it's mainly just mumbling) 🤮🤮🤮

Having seen James Arthur, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles in concert, the first 2 multiple times, I can confirm they can all sing. 😉 And James Blunt, he’s actually very good live as well as being very funny. I don’t like Sam Smith though, he can sing but I don’t like his voice.

Robbie Williams (though he's got a brilliant song writer) and also Madonna (again she's got a very good song writer). And I agree with Cheryl Cole.

I love Ronan Keating, his voice stands out a mile on anything in Boyzone.

Personally I think Ian Brown from the Stone Roses can't sing, but he's a legend and I still love him.

Frank Sinatra/Rat Pack singers. Sounded like pissed up old men at 4am and they actually were just that.

I must admit that I've always thought that Ronan Keating's voice sounded a bit sheep-like!

I forgot to add Jenifer Lopez. I find her whiny. I was always amazed in the first video that she was trying to be sexy by whining and rubbing sand on her arse.

Having to listen to Carol Decker from T’Pau belt out “China in your Hand” when it was number 1 in the 80’s was a special kind of torture.

hasn’t stopped her still reprising the one bloody song around the 80’s nostalgia live tours though. I fully admit that song annoys me more than it should, over 30 years later!
