Ds is 14 months old and finally has an appointment for his 1 year jabs tomorrow and I’m really anxious about MMR.

Not about autism it’s more the side effects I’m so worried he’ll be dead poorly.

What should I expect after this?

Oh dear god the people on here having a moan about a turn of phraseHmm she's a new mum, she doesn't want anyone or anything to hurt her baby. She was bloody joking! Obviously she didn't want to actually slap the nurse 🤦‍♀️. And she doesn't want her child to get a preventable disease....hence getting the injection! I'm glad you started this thread OP because I'm also nervous for the MMR jab (not because of the autism thing, even if it was a side effect of rather have a child with autism than a child lost to preventable disease). It's natural to be worried about things that may happen to the most precious thing in the world.

@BeHappyAndSmile thank you for rectifying this haha

DS has been fine all day, no problems at all so I hope that reassures you! X

Ppl on fb claiming issues after vaccinations are generally ppl trying to scare others into not vaccinating.

There is a scheme to report side effects after vaccinations. If any of their claims were serious and happened a lot they would be in it.

Like others said your child might be a bit drizzly and have a temperature. Both of these are better than mumps, rubella or measles.

You're doing the right thing in getting your child vaccinated.
