No masks or social distancing in new job?

I started work in a call centre last Monday.
Wore a mask and was told we don't need to wear masks (anyway I keep mine on whilst walking round )
Nobody else wearing one,no social distancing what so ever.
People sat practically on top of each other etc
Aibu to mention this to a manger ?
Or keep my mouth shut as I'm only new

Of course you mention it, that's terrible.

They keep banging on about us being "key workers"
I don't agree there is anything about our job that makes us "key workers "

Ridiculous. I'm a keyworker in an office environment my boss went OTT we are only allowed a set amount of people in each day, no sharing stuff (I have my own tea and coffee making station which I actually love), masks in communal areas, wipe down photocopier and handles throughout the day, 2 metres apart, no one allowed in anyone elses office, she has given us free vitamins to boost our immune systems and takes our temperature randomly.

Oh and hand sanitiser and wipes are bloody everywhere

My office building, not that I've seen it much in the last year, is pretty much the same.

We even have multiple pens for signing in. You take a clean pen to sign in and put it in the used pot. One of the facilities staff is tasked with wiping all the used pens and putting them back in the clean pot.

It's strange how different employers come to very different conclusions for what should be more or less the same risk. OP, have they shown you the COVID risk assessment? You could look on the HSE website or talk to the local health and safety people about your concerns, but unfortunately, you're probably not in a good position to make an issue about this if you want to keep your job.

I'd like to work there, normality
