To feel this Peter Stevens is an awful person

"A former charity leader has admitted using "totally disgraceful" language in describing someone with HIV he was helping as a "moaner" and "thick""

Shocking lack of empathy, intelligence and disdain. Hope he reaps significant consequences for his treatment of vulnerable people his was supposed to be supporting.

I think he was unprofessional and stupid.

But I don't think it means he's an 'awful person'. He's just been caught talking about his clients unprofessionally which I'd bet is something many others have done and got away with.

Caveat, I don't know any other background, just the article.

I think many of us have said less than flattering things about an irksome customer or client at some point in our careers, haven’t we? Most of us are just sensible enough not to put it in writing. It’s not very nice but honestly, I can definitely recognise some of the service users I’ve worked with in the past in Mr Steven’s description of Mr Lewis’s emails, and how incredibly trying they were. I’m not sure whether he’s generally a nice person or not, but I don’t think you can declare somebody to be awful based on this alone.

I guess I'm projecting. I wouldn't talk about people in that way in my professional life even verbally, let alone in writing. The comment about how it couldn't have been down to drink due to the time also sounded so off. Like that would have been an excuse.

I do think he sounds very unkind to them. I probably should have phrased it better, his behaviour was awful, rather than he is.

Not sure that it's that wrong to say someone is a moaner if that's what they do constantly. Thick isn't kind, even if it's accurate. Better ways of saying that.
