I'm 31 and I have no health issues etc.
Up until December I was a carer.
Now last week I received a text message inviting me to book my covid vaccine.
I rang up the surgery and explained I'm no longer a carer and she said she would take the notes off her system but I was still welcome to book my jab (as it takes a week for it to drop off the system)
Aibu to get it?
Is it morally wrong?

To be honest if you've been offered it I would just have it. I guess the GP surgery are working to their own algorithms and those won't be perfect, but I feel like it's probably easier for them if everyone just turns up when they are told. Otherwise I'd worry that you'll be accidentally recorded as a refusal and not called up with the later batch!

If you were actively seeking the vaccine on a false basis, that would be different.

Just book it . I’m 30 and I’ve had mine last weekend. Everyone will get one your not jumping the queue.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/02/2021 16:44

Just book it. It is not morally wrong

AgnesNaismith · 23/02/2021 16:44

Get it please, just get it!!!

The priority list is slowing the rollout and one more done is one less to do.

ashleybb · 23/02/2021 16:48

@CharlotteRose90 did you have many side affects ?

I was in a Similar situation to you and I went ahead and had it. I tried to correct the situation as you have, your gps have said go ahead. And mine also said that if I didnot the computer would not add me to the list when it was my turn.

My advice is book it. But be careful who you tell I've had some weird responses - some friends asking me to prove why I need it etc etc. So keep quiet and no one walk you Covid weird questions!

Third thread on this subject in two days. Please stop overthinking and get it. Why is it immoral. It’s more immoral to waste NHS time but ringing up, re arranging etc.

Erkrie · 23/02/2021 17:18

Just have it. It will be more hassle to try and change it and you'll be getting it soon enough anyway.

Agree with this
GeorgeandHarold66 · 23/02/2021 17:21

Yes just get it, it's one more vaccine delivered at the end of the day.

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 23/02/2021 17:21

If you want it, get it. If you dont, dont.
It's their error in offering it to you but now it's been offered then logistically you may as well have it now if you wish.
Dont worry, you arent "stealing someones place" if thats your concern.

DHdweller · 23/02/2021 17:23

Just get it

lazee · 23/02/2021 17:32

More strain on the NHS to explain
Just go!
