To be mean about Peppa Pig

MaMaD1990 · 21/02/2021 19:26

Is it just me or do others think Peppa Pig is just a rude, stroppy, arrogant little pig? I find myself muttering insults under my breath when it's on...anyone else? Lighthearted!

Love Hey Duggee! Comedy gold!

I have decided Go Jeffers has the most funky theme song

I have a question about Peppe Pig that often puzzles me, why isn't George called something beginning with P?

ememem84 · 21/02/2021 21:15

Maybe George isn’t really mummy and daddy pigs?

ItsTheDramaMickILoveIt · 21/02/2021 21:15

I hate Bing because he acts like things that HE did happened in a passive way. ‘It broke itself...’ no pal, YOU broke it. He’s such a whinge though.

The one time I thought they were a bit hard on Bing was when he accidentally shoplifted a lollipop. Flop went all sad and serious and told him he’d stolen it. He didn’t actually know he’d done anything wrong, so there was no intent, but him and Padget went all earnest and disappointed on him.

newidentiy · 21/02/2021 21:19

I hate Bing so whitney and why why why does panda take his bloody shorts off all time to expose his white y fronts. Just WHY

Yessss I have always thought this!
Toomuchtooyoung01 · 21/02/2021 21:22

Here bloody here to all those saying Bing is worse. What an annoying, whingeing brat of a bunny. I also hate the way he misprounounces words and its supposed to be cute.

iklboo · 22/02/2021 00:03

Peppa Pig is a twunt. DS is 15 now so we're not forced to watch it. DH & I made up back stories to make it bearable. Like Granny Pig had a fling with Grandad Dog and that's why he's always ripping the piss out of Grandad Pig - and she lets him.

And while we're at it - Max & Fucking Ruby! What a bossy besom she is. Where are the parents? Does Grandma have a bottle of gin in her bag?

Lofari · 22/02/2021 00:21

Norman from fireman Sam ... gives me the rage! DD went through a massive Peppa thing so its banned here. Seems like DS has made Norman fucking Price my penance

starfish88 · 22/02/2021 03:19

I remember the early days of having a baby and reading all the gentle parenting books while breastfeeding. Flop would be the perfect parent in their eyes, if you didn't smile at your baby when you got them out of their cot for the million night feed then they would clearly know you didn't love them enough (even though it's dark, even though they are 3 weeks old and basically an angry potato). So I totally agree with the open letter to flop. There is no way any parent or carer can be that good, that gentle and that perfect all the time. Especially not when stuck with Bing.

snowblower · 22/02/2021 04:15

My favorite peppa pig ever is the one where she hangs up on Suzy because she can whistle & people can't. Sometimes I watch the clip to cheer myself up. My Dh will often say ' can you whistle Suzy?" I do a little whistle & he replies ' fuck you Suzy. Christ we're sad!

snowblower · 22/02/2021 04:15
  • peppa ! Not people
MrsOmelette · 22/02/2021 06:41

I didn’t like Peppa but now I won’t have a word said against the programme...my young daughter had to go to hospital in the first lockdown and could barely talk at the time but managed to say “like Dr Brown Bear” to me, and was clearly less frightened than she would have been without the understanding of doctors from Peppa Pig. The cheekiness I don’t like, but I can use it as a learning tool.

PurpleFlower1983 · 22/02/2021 06:43

She’s awful and Bing is a PITA. Flop has the patience of a saint!

vampirethriller · 22/02/2021 06:52

Peppa is banned in this house. I wasn't quick enough with Drivel the Blunder Dog though and it's the toddler's favourite.

Potterythrowdown · 22/02/2021 07:32

Bing would live on the naughty step in my house.

ArtemisBean · 22/02/2021 08:15

Yep, Peppa and Bing are banned in our house too. Teletubbies only permitted on mute because I can't stand their stupid voices. Same with Daisy from Daisy and Ollie - she sounds like a little old lady! I can tolerate Fireman Sam, but those adult squeaky voices pretending to be children really get on my nerves. Grumble, grumble...

ItsJackieWeaverBitch · 22/02/2021 08:26

Oh god I hate Peppa pig, odious little pork scratching. Horrid Henry is worse though and I ended up banning the tv show and the books from our house as it brought out the absolute worst in both my kids especially my son who has ASD and repeats things over and over- his favourite obviously being “silence worm” Hmm

Angry potato. Is the definitive description of a newborn. I love this!
TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 22/02/2021 09:32

We banned both Peppa Pig and Bing when DD was younger. Peppa just because it annoyed me so much, Bing because after a couple of episodes DD began whining and telling us she didn't want to eat dinner.

I'm not saying all kids shows should be amazing and educational but when they are for pre-schoolers they should at least not encourage bad behaviour/whining/rudeness!

I silently smirked at the episode when she is last to be chosen in school when every had to show their talents and everyone kept doing her ideas before she got chance to!!
CroutonsAvatar · 22/02/2021 10:26

I thought that, then my daughter became obsessed with entitled little dick head Bing Bunny. And now I’d like to go back to the days of Peppa.

Actually, if she’d swap both of those out for demands for Hey Duggee And Sarah and Duck I’d be over the moon!

Myturntobringthemilk · 22/02/2021 10:38

@iklboo my niece used to love max and ruby! Haven't watched it in absolute years. It used to come on before/after Maggie and the ferocious beast (that was an absolute banger too)

As for Peppa as much as she is a complete bossy bitch i have to say my life has been made that little bit easier over the years as both my DS and DD love it and it gives me many quick 5 mins of peace per episode to try and get things done!
