To want to divorce my hubby

So bloody angry!!!
Hubby had a couple drinks tonight which is fine I have no issue with that. He came into bed and fell asleep. Also fine. But the stupid idiotic man decided to fall asleep half cut with a FULL glass in his hand! So he moved to turn over and splashed the whole bloody glass all over me, the bed and the duvet!!! Wasn't a small glass either. Didn't trust myself to wake him up cos I was so mad, so put a towel down to soak the worst of it off the mattress and I'm now on the sofa with a blanket!

Guess who will be doing clean up tomorrow!!! Certainly not me! He's totally oblivious snoring away like a walrus 🙄🙄

@swissmummy12345

He should divorce you for calling him 'hubby' Angry
100% this.

Almost gagged reading this.

Unless he calls her “wifey”, then they are made for each other.

Oh piss off. Leave the thread if it offends you.

OP, YANBU. Sounds like you’re at the end of your tether.

Ileflottante · 21/02/2021 07:36

What was in the glass. I must know!

pictish · 21/02/2021 07:40

“Almost gagged reading this.”

Only almost? That’s barely worth mentioning.

TwilightSkies · 21/02/2021 07:46

You seem like a lovely person.

oatmilk4breakfast · 21/02/2021 07:53

He came to bed with wine in hand lay down and fell asleep? How much does he drink per week? I’d be more concerned about that to be honest?

VinterKvinna · 21/02/2021 08:02

They're ready when you are...

To want to divorce my hubby
SilverRoe · 21/02/2021 08:15

Ah how annoying. But it can happen, I managed to throw an entire cup of tea down myself and my duvet and was in no way drunk, I just had a clumsy moment. Let him clean it up on his hangover while playing some jaunty music perhaps?

oohmyback · 21/02/2021 08:24

If my husband did that atm I'd probably tell him I want a divorce as it would literally be the last straw.

I'm wondering if OP meant it tongue in cheek? Or maybe her husband is a selfish lazy arsehole like mine?

pictish · 21/02/2021 08:32

I find Scottish Country dance music to be very invigorating. It needs to be turned up loud to work though.

madddddd · 21/02/2021 10:58

Just for all you people saying I'm overreacting. Think you maybe took my post literally obviously I'm not actually going to divorce him 😂 it was the middle of the night and I was angry and tired and needed to vent.

For those asking if he has an alcohol problem, no he doesn't. He has a few drinks on a Saturday night and this is the first time that's happened.

And for those who is disturbed that I call him HUBBY if that's all you have in life to be outraged about then I'd say you have it pretty good! HUBBY HUBBY HUBBY 😂

He's awake and full of apologies and grovelling. He cleaned up. Made me a cup of tea and bacon sandwich so he's now forgiven

Definately meant it tongue in cheek 😂

@Monty27

I can't get passed that

That'll be 'past', dear. My hubby says so.

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 21/02/2021 11:34

For the hubby-phones, I present you, a haiku:

OP says hubby
Hanging offence on Mumsnet
Get a life, people

JinglePies · 21/02/2021 12:02

Hubby is the most twee word ever.

The worst is “I’ll just ask Hubby”

You might think it’s wonderful but lots of people will be irritated when you use that word. Sorry hon.

sunflowersandbuttercups · 21/02/2021 12:05

I would have woken him up and told him to put the sheets in the wash, clean the mattress and re-make the bed - then possible sent him to sleep on the sofa while I slept in the clean bed! Grin

Glad things are okay this morning, though.

As were the posters mentioning your use of the word, hubby.
It's an awful fucking word

Onairjunkie · 21/02/2021 15:52

People who use ‘hubby’ can never spell ‘definitely’.

CassandrasCastle · 21/02/2021 15:54

Oh these silly men and their silly ways, hoho

FredAstairesChair · 21/02/2021 15:54

It depends what alcoholic beverage he's wasted. Wine, champagne? Divorce. If it was a flavoured gin then no harm done.

MajesticWhine · 21/02/2021 16:10

I can't imagine how someone gets into bed with a glass of wine (was it wine?). That's bizarre. It would make sense if it was water and he was trying to get some down him to avoid a hangover.
But anyway, divorce him for any reason you like, YANBU

Monty27 · 21/02/2021 18:07

@gokartdillydilly

Oxford English dictionary:
Summary. These two words, past and passed, are two words that cause a lot of confusion in the English language. Past is never used as a verb, that is a good way to remember the difference. Passed is always a verb.
Tell your dh he's wrong 🤣

madddddd · 22/02/2021 00:07

Total change of topic but it absolutely amazes me every single day at how anyone in the world of mumsnet has the time to scroll through threads with a fine tooth comb picking up on spelling mistakes or punctuation errors or even words that irritate them. The amount of replies I see on posts ripping into posters for spelling something wrong, or using a word they don't like is crazy. Do you really have the time and energy to do this?
I couldn't care less how people spell, or punctuate or what specific words they use that I don't 🤯

Anyway... thank you for the support guys, there will be no divorce between me and my HUBBY 😘
