When a thread has a seemingly innocuous title and runs into hundreds of posts, who else clicks on it just to see how it’s kicked off?

Have seen what appear to be completely innocent thread titles, with hundreds and hundreds of posts. And my first thought is almost always “ah, hundreds of posts, bet it’s kicked off,” and then I look at the last page first. Grin

Am I the only one?

Ha ha I do this too!

SingleHandSue · 20/02/2021 19:57

🙋🏻‍♀️ Me, I do too

Grendalsmum · 20/02/2021 19:57

Guilty ...

AnneWeber · 20/02/2021 19:58

How dare you! Angry

ChocBeforeCock · 20/02/2021 19:58

Yes! Except sometimes it hasn’t actually kicked off and there are 27 pages of suggestions of what to get from the Chinese takeaway

AlternativePerspective · 20/02/2021 20:00

FlyingLoo · 20/02/2021 20:09

Me! And then I read the last page first wondering how on earth it’s gone on so long and it’s posters arguing with each other about nothing to do with the actual subject matter Hmm

TeenTraumaTrials · 20/02/2021 20:16

I did that with the teaspoon rest one Smile and it made my day

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 20/02/2021 20:18

Definitely Grin I didn't look at the teaspoon rest one though, did that kick off??

MazDazzle · 20/02/2021 20:18

I don’t click on it, but often think how the fuck can that thread still be going?

RapunzelHadExtensions · 20/02/2021 20:20

Hahahaha guilty as charged!
And if I see MNHQ has commented, even better.

WankmasterBastardDeLaShithead · 20/02/2021 20:23

Yup. And when I click on a post with a preposterously long opening post, I scroll to the first reply to see if it's worth reading.

TeenTraumaTrials · 20/02/2021 20:28

No it didn't kick off. I thought it had which is why I opened it but it was a lovely thread (after everyone got past the 'why on earth do you need a teaspoon rest?' stage). A poster volunteed to make one for the OP and then everyone was saying they wanted them.

TeenTraumaTrials · 20/02/2021 20:29

Or volunteered even - on second glass of wine Grin

AlternativePerspective · 20/02/2021 20:32

And if I see MNHQ has commented, even better. oh God yes. And then I click on that to see what they’ve commented before reading. [grin[

Sometimes I’ll read the first few posts and then jump to the last page just to see how ridiculously off topic it’s become

ChocBeforeCock · 20/02/2021 20:35

@AlternativePerspective

And if I see MNHQ has commented, even better. oh God yes. And then I click on that to see what they’ve commented before reading. [grin[
But then if MNHQ say “we have deleted a number of personal attacks” I think ah shit, I missed all the fun Grin
RapunzelHadExtensions · 20/02/2021 20:39

But then if MNHQ say “we have deleted a number of personal attacks” I think ah shit, I missed all the fun

Hahahahahaha!

Then I do a trawel of previous posts to see if anyone has quoted the banned ones and they've slipped through the MNHQ net.

MNerGoneRogueAgain · 20/02/2021 20:39

Yes, yes and abso-bloomin'-lutely

But I do tend to read at least the first page before jumping to the end. Or do the "see all" and go down to where the OP's comment makes it obvious that something's occurring
