well?

it's over-commericlaised, americanised and making snowmen is nothing short of begging.

I'm happy to ban that part of Christmas (jokingly), but that part doesn't really affect me.

How about if we ban just parts of it? Some of it is actually quite good really...

Why is making snowmen nothing short of begging?

and chopping down all those trees - it's like glamourising deforestation

and making children befriend bearded old men?

It's criminal innit.

some mnetters (I am wary of saying munters now) like to scorn celebration-related begging so I'm just throwing in that snowman bit to hook them in.

oh gooid point, fox. The wasteful tree cutting and card making. How can people really say they care about our planet?

yeah, let's ban it.

my 4-year-old is already badgering me to buy her tatt out of the woolies catalogue.

and the other day, whilst she was in nursery and dd2 was having a kip, i laid my preggo body down to sleep, and some old lady knocked on the door begging for money for the poppy appeal!

imagine the cheek of that, in this rural area!

i should have told her MN wants to ban her rather than giving her all teh money i had in my purse and some biscuits all for a wee fake poppy!

ban dogs, because they beg. And pigeons.

Can't we just ban all religion entirely and replace them with some sort of Minifest, a ministry of festivals?

We could even work to persuade people that there never was any Christmas.
