Boys school shirt instead of a blouse?

My dd age 7 hopefully back to school next month. She has grown out of her blouses. They are grey and sold out everywhere in her size. They have boys shirts in grey, is there any difference in a boys shirt to a girls blouse??

My DD prefers her brother’s old shirts to the new “girls” ones I bought her as they have a pocket!

The buttons are on the wrong side so might feel a bit funny for her to do up the first time but she’ll have forgotten by day 2. It will be fine! They’re not cut for boobs and hips at age 7.

The buttons will do up on a different side but nobody will notice.

Aged 7 there shouldn’t be any difference in the shaping.

I had a big mix of boys/girls shirts growing up as some were hand me downs.

Absolutely fine. I'm sure the last lot I bought from Sainsbury's were unisex at age 7.

Great thanks! I won't tell her and hopefully she won't even noticeWink

The other thing that might be different is the shame of the collar.
e.g. The boy one might be designed to take a tie, whereas the girls one might be v shaped.

shape

I have 3 DS and one DD. I made the decision to use boys shirts from day 1 as they wouldn't know, and sorting the washing is hard enough. When she got curves I did buy her girl's shirts but she hated them as the buttons are on the wrong side and they are "tight" i.e fitted. Also the girls shirts had shorter arms.

I usually get boys / unisex for DD so that old things can be passed down.
