To be mildly annoyed that a colleague ruined my tv show

Been watching Married at First Sight Australia for a good few weeks, maybe months now. I know its shite before anyone tells me but its the antithesis to my job so I like it.

A colleague started watching it 2 weeks ago so has been googling the bits she missed as she is watching it live.

Yesterday she told me how much she is enjoying it and has been on instagram and can't believe x x and x. She has basically told me the end and has ruined it for me. I told her I hadn't wanted to know and I know its first world problems. But really? I hate it when people give you spoilers without asking first. Aibu?

I have had exactly the same thing from a colleague! I loved it and it's totally ruined it for me, so no advice but I completely feel the same!

We are watching this too and I've seen loads of updates on Twitter and stuff but I haven't told my husband because I dont want to ruin it for him.

I think what really has annoyed me is that she has been watching for 2 weeks where I have invested in this show for months. Its so frustrating when something is building up to a finale and someone who has barely watched it totally spoils it at the 11th hour

Same thing with the same show over here too!! It’s annoying that it’s being shown so long after it was first aired in Australia as I keep seeing stories popping up on social media about ex members of the show and it’s ruined it for me!!!

And its being shown now. We didnt have it over here in 2018 so its a new show for us

It is frustrating. I think its popularity took off here last year with series 4. Hopefully we will get series 7 a bit quicker

YABU to watch it though at least it's commercial tv so my licence fee does not contribute to it.

I know it's annoying when we get the shows years later. There's articles all over the daily fail (that I read to kill time in work) showing where the cast are now and who's doing what.... It's hard not to see it really

When we discuss tv in the staff room we always make sure we never talk beyond the last shown episode as a rule.

I watch it but I know exactly what happens as I googled it or read on Twitter. It’s kinda hard to avoid when it’s everywhere. I don’t know if I’d be annoyed... it’s pretty obvious from day one who’s gonna work!

I love married at first sight and the 2018 series I looked the ending of it After 1 episode. Wanted to see if any of them were still together or not

What I hate is when people give away details that’s aren’t plot-destroying, but still much nicer to discover yourself through watching the thing. Seriously I’ve literally said to people “actually let’s chat about something else as I haven’t seen it yet” and they insist, saying “oh this won’t give away the ending, but there’s a HILARIOUS scene where X falls through a window fighting Y” ... guaranteed not to be funny for me now, isn’t it?

You can get series 7 online btw. And the rest of series 6 if it's not all on where you're watching it at the mo. I'd have been pissed off too!

The answer is to watch things no one else is watching Grin my current shows include a couple of Thai dramas, an Arabic soap and a Spanish dystopian story. (All on Netflix). The downside is you have no one to talk to about them either!

My mum does that all the time. I was due to go and see Last Christmas and she told me ‘....I didn’t know x happened, blah blah blah...’. I said ‘you know I haven’t seen that and you just ruined it for me! Why?’ She just couldn’t care less

Also, did you realise they don't get legally married so it's all a load of bollox from attention seeking would be slebs.
Weirdly compulsive viewing though.
