Hey,

I am obsessed with psychological thriller films that really have you gripped and on the edge of your seat - I lose concentration unless they're this way 😂 I'm treating myself to a takeaway tomorrow night and want an AMAZING film to accompany it.

Please hit me with your best recommendations.

Films I've loved recently:

  • Taken
  • What Happened to Monday
  • The Vanished

Etc etc.

Thanks all! Xx

Donnie Darko
Pan's Labyrinth (Disturbing and upsetting)
Angel Heart (bit violent; shocker)

fedup2017 · 16/02/2021 21:40

jazz1995 · 16/02/2021 21:49

The Hole- not very well known. I’m talking about the one with Keira knightly in

Alicesweewonders · 16/02/2021 21:50

I second Pan's Labyrinth, fantastic film.

Lincslady53 · 16/02/2021 21:52

Not a thriller, but we watched St Vincent with Bill Murray this week, and it was one of the most enjoyable films I have seen in a long time.

LagneyandCasey · 16/02/2021 21:54

A Quiet Place. A very very tense watch.

SmokedDuck · 16/02/2021 21:55

The Escapist - the one with Brian Cox - there is another film by the same name which isn't the one I mean.

KeepWashingThoseHands · 16/02/2021 21:59

I’m way too much of a chicken to watch some of these as I get so engrossed I freak myself out and can’t sleep or be in the house alone. I’m in my 40’s too - pathetic!

Wish I could, so have fun :)

dinglehopper1 · 16/02/2021 21:59

it's an oldie but I like Breakdown.

They don't seem to make so many thrillers anymore, one reason I think Taken blew up.

I watch all the Liam Neeson ones where he is just doing the same taken thing.

JojoLapin · 16/02/2021 22:01

I second this 🙂
Zevia · 16/02/2021 23:51

Plus one for Pan's Labyrinth.

Minus one for A Quiet Place (not that it's terrible, but far from 'amazing' IMO)

TheSandman · 16/02/2021 23:59

Strangers on a Train.

Or anything else based on a book by Patricia Highsmith.

VetOnCall · 17/02/2021 00:37
