To be narked with DH's colleague?

DH is off sick this week- GP's orders, he's trialling a new medication and they don't want him driving. First night off was alst week.

Just picked up a message on the phone from his colleague ( a Junior colleague)- 'DH, I want you in tonight as I am busy and need to work a late shift'- Dh is supposed to be on late and him earlya nd they somtimes swap.

Now, colleague has recently set up a foorball club that meets when he is supposed to be on shift- which necessiatates him changing all the time.

AIBU to get narked off that he left an aggressive meagge and to think that if he wants to start a fottball club he should bloody well do it in his own time, not when he's paid to be in work and expects other people to swap shifts all the time?

YANBU
Nor would it be unreasonable to leave an equally curt message explaining that it's illegal to harrass staff who are away sick, and then report him to the HR dept or boss.

Oh the colleague wasnt doing it for his workplace- it was just he wanted to be able to go in 2 hours late and everyone else is sick of covereing him!

he phoned back about two minutes after I posted this, DH gave him a very long 'oh woe is me' spiel so we shall see if it happens next week... if two days in ever 6 you start work at 7, why start a club that starts at 7 - 8.30? I dion't get it!

sorry, if this guy wants to start his own footie club, he doesn;t do it when he is supposed to be working!!! FFS, what is wrong with people?

DH needs to speak to management about this, if it carries on
