If you've got a big hood on your coat this works. I don't know how but it does.

The particular hood I have is padded and fabric and very large so it comes past my face. I don't know if it would work with other hoods. I suspect not because maybe it's to do with the hood absorbing breath moisture? (Sounds disgusting I know.)
