If it’s available on Tesco click and collect, it’s available in store?

I’m looking for a specific item that’s sold in some Tesco’s (grocery item). It’s available to click and collect tomorrow from my local Tesco (few miles away)

Aibu to assume it’ll be available to buy in store today/now?

Probably - depends on when the store gets its deliveries.

You’d think so but the Asda that I get my click and collect from isn’t actually where the shopping is picked from. It’s picked somewhere else and brought to my Asda by a lorry for me to pick up. I’m sure there’s some logic to why but I’m not sure what it is

Tesco click and collect comes from a dot com centre - what is in store could well be different, probably depending on the size of the shop you’re going to. Our local is classed as a superstore but isn’t that big, there’s more choice online than in store

I haven't been in store for months, but certainly last time I went in the click & collect and deliveries were being picked on the shop floor.

You can't say for sure as someone might buy it before you get there, I assume click and collect is similar to delivered shopping in that things can go out of stock between the order and the picking.

It depends - or local tesco does click and collect from what's in store, others have separate fulfilment centres. An I really the only one nosy enough to want to know what it is?!

I rang customer services at nearest Tesco to ask this. Person I spoke to was really helpful - confirmed two in stock on the shop floor and agreed to put one to one side for me provided I came the same day. Nothing massively exciting - DH dropped our kettle and the spout cracked. As it matched our toaster I wanted to replace it with the same.
