DH has just finished a second week in a row of nights. I'm working full time from home while also home schooling DD4 and am 25 weeks pregnant. Basically we are all exhausted and on edge.
DH said yesterday that after he woke up from his sleep today he would pop a to a shop we needed a few bits from.
I woke him up at 1230 (at his request, he got to sleep about 8 this morning). He was understandably exhausted but got up, showered, had some lunch reluctantly popped out. I did tell him he didn't have to go, I could either go over the weekend (although I am actively trying to avoid going out) or it could wait until he is on a day shift next week, but he went.
He got back, started unloading the car, had some fridge/cold bits. I started sorting out the fridge/freezer to make room - argument number 1, I should have helped list the stuff out of the boot before sorted out the fridge!
DD and I put all the stuff away (after helping unload the boot) while he stood watching and playing on his phone.
There are a couple of other jobs that need doing this afternoon (outside rabbits need cleaning out, and dinner) I told him to sit down for 10 as he looks exhausted, he snapped that he had to do everything! I said I would either do the pets or cook dinner when I finish work (at 5) he started moaning about it all again.
Told him we didn't have to have a proper dinner, we could make do with something quick and chuck in the oven (trying to help here) argument number 2 - apparently I am arguing and should just leave him seen as he has everything to do.
I've walked away and left him to it. But what I wanted to point out was that for most of this week, he has stayed in bed from when he gets in at 7am, gets up at 2 ish for lunch, goes back to bed at 3 until he has to get ready for work at 9. While I have worked full time, home schooled DD, done all the housework I can as I'm not allowed to make too much noise when he on nights sleeping, so therefore now have to spend all weekend catching up on housework!
Not really sure what I am looking for - just needed a rant as I am also exhausted, my back is killing me today and DD seems to want to play with the loudest possible toys while I'm trying to juggle zoom calls!
