Food bank ideas

Anyone volunteer in a food bank?

Every week I buy sanitary products for the local food bank.

I also get shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

They seem to have loads of pasta and tins - and I figured toiletries are maybe in shorter supply.

Is there anything else that you think families really need but people forget to donate?

Sorry for the typos, voice text doesn't always get me!

I volunteer in one and we sometimes have truck loads of some things and none of another. The items we always have enough of (or frankly too much as we need to store them too) is:

  1. Sanitary products - periods, incontinence etc.
  2. Dog/cat food
  3. Beans.
We also occasionally have half a tonne of biscuits, but that varies.

Stuff that we always seem to run out of is:

  1. Sugar - half kilo bags would be best.
  2. Shower gels/deodorants
  3. Sponge puddingy things.

If in doubt, ask them and many thanks xx
