My DD suddenly loves playing with her dolls house, sylvanians, Barbie, baby dolls, teddies, build a bear, Lego —all of it. She’s had a few of these for Xmas over the years but never shown much interest - is it an age thing? She suddenly loves make believe and characters. It’s like she has suddenly ‘got’ them and loves them.
Is she quite old (she’s nearly 9) to be realising it though? Don’t get me wrong- I am really happy that she’s got this sudden interest in it all but I can’t remember what age I was playing with it. My DS was a bit younger when he loved his toys but he still loves Lego at 13
Aibu to ask what age your kids really started playing a lot in this way. I guess ultimately i am wondering if it’s lockdown thats done it!
