To be miffed at certain employees/employers/workplaces...

Just watched three workmen from a roads contractor pile into a cab of a truck. No masks. I keep seeing this - binmen, removal company guys, contractors of various kinds sitting cheek by jowl in vehicles with no masks.

Given we're in lockdown and our kids aren't able to go to school (and are threatened with compulsory mask wearing when they do return), how the hell are these companies and their employees going about their business as normal, without even wearing masks? Surely these sorts of working practices will be driving community transmission while the rest of us dutifully stay at home...

I agree. I've had to have various workmen come to the house recently for emergency repairs. They all turned up without a mask on and only grumpily and begrudgingly put one on when I asked. I felt really threatened just having to ask but have a vulnerable DC so felt that I had to.

And all the footballers cuddling!

I agree. My oh works as a manager for a home improvement company.
His company furlough him 1 day a week but essentially want 5 days work in 4. They just see it as a way to save cash. Business is booming.
No masks in office. Many covid cases in office staff and engineers. I think its disgusting but in that industry, they are sharks so not surprising.

@KasparKat yeah, don't even get me started on the footballers!!! How on earth is it OK for them to hug and go on as normal when most of us have not been able to embrace family and friends for months. It's simply disrepectful.

Come to think of it, why the hell is the Premier League still being played - guessing it's because putting the footballers on furlough would bankrupt the country instantly ! !

Oh and my binmen today wore their chin hammocks with style 🙄
